Thanks for the responses guys! The first set was ALL BALLS (with steel bearing cages) so I am not sure what I did differently re-installing this time. Although I didn't really pay attention to the feel of the bearings when I removed them last fall. Anyways..........I just ordered another set...

I just did mine, and every shim was tight and all were changed (had to buy 9)............then again, I had my motor sitting on my workbench....not in the frame. I don't see what the big deal is when replacing the CCT....it was easy :) :)

Are you sure the bearings are gone?? That seems rather bizarre for those bearings to wear out with such low miles. I just cleaned and greased my linkage (2003 with 105K). I will say the bearing that sits directly under the shock was a bit dry but there was no pitting etc... As for the "play" you...
