    Automotive gps and Sena 20s

I haven't tried to pair my two Garmin Nuvis (2597 and 2797)to the Sena yet, but I will say that I have got about 40,000 miles with them on the bike with no problems (other than when I got caught in a monsoon in Alabama. The only problem I have is the Ram mount I use for the 2797 won't tighten...

Clearwater Sevina and Erica - Naomi

They're too darn big, as in 'them things sure are ugly'. A bunch of riders in the Iron Butt Rally had a mixture of Clearwaters. Some ran four lights (two big 'uns and two littler ones), some just two. Some ran them on the fairing, some on the canyon cages. I don't think you are going to have...

NEPRT: New Oil Filter Part Number

The filter has 'changed' in recent years. The new version is exactly like the old version except it is one tenth inch shorter. You can use either the new or the old.

Trouble down shifting on the Gen3

I think you have a master cylinder problem. When my bike (2008, 157,000 miles) gets hot, the clutch almost goes away, i.e. when I pull it in the bike doesn't want to downshift, and finding neutral is very iffy, and the bike doesn't want to drop back to idle cleanly. Once it starts doing this...

    Members Pets

Is it just your Airedale, or do none of them have any eyes? That would explain a lot about them being difficult to train.

Installing All Balls Racing Tapered Steering Head Bearings

Does anyone have the castellated socket that Just Roy used to make that I can borrow?

    First Saddle Sore

As mentioned earlier: an SS1000 is 'relatively' easy. There is PLENTY of time to make the ride. Lots of time to stop to stretch and relax. I rode my first one from Tampa Florida to Lavaca AL for lunch with the motorcycle tourer's forum. Lunch was 2 hours of bull snarking. I still made it back...

    Beauties

Just got back from Brass Town Bald in North Ga. When I pulled into the parking lot at the top of the mountain on Saturday there were about 30 Cobras having a little get together.

    Ratio Rite in your shop/garage?

Just to answer the actual question: I bought mine in 1984 and find uses for it all the time. Fork oil, gas/oil for weed whacker, final drive oil on all three bikes...et al.

    Air Filter

Wait - you're supposed to change them?? I guess I better figure out where the darn thing is. But it may not be due yet - I only have 130,200 miles on the bike. Maybe the previous owner put a new one in while he had it. I got it at 40,000 miles.

    Look both ways...

Per NBC news, the rider got up and walked away with only minor injuries. I believe that when he hit the side of the train it pushed his front wheel to the side, preventing major injuries.

2016 Is Official 6-spd, Slipper, LEDs, Analog Tach, Price

Answers the color question...at least for the Euro version. With all those updates (LED, 6 speed), it should get the tongues around here hanging out.

    Florida Keys SS1000

Isn't the speed limit in the Keys 45 mph? Just asking.

If you will take $60 for them, I will take them right now and save you the ebay fee.

    Florida Tech Day

Even though my bike is perfect, I think I need to kill some dinosaurs and get rid of that irritating roundness new tires come with. So put me down as an absolute 'probably'.

FJRForum Official 2015 Iron Butt Rally Tracking/Analysis thread

Again, the rallybook shows an 'address' of 'Yellowstone NP, Wyoming', so I think you can only get one state for visiting Yellowstone, no matter what direction you come to it from. This would be true of any park: one address is given in the book, and that address gives the state you can claim...
