Burgman 400 to FJR 1300AE …. Leap of Faith??

Welcome to the forum Brad. Get what you want now. I went from a Big Bear Choppers Venom Prostreet bike to the FJR. Had the BBC for a year and knew it wasn't what we wanted to ride on. Yeah, it was "cool" to a point, but we wanted something to be comfortable on for more than 50 miles. Prior...

So then they do not need to be re-packed?

    re-packing exhaust cans

I'm thinking about buying exhaust cans for my 2006 AE soon. Reading the posts there are comments here and there about having to "pack" them. Newbie question: what exactly does this mean? Also, if others can post which ones require packing and those that do not that would be appreciated...

    PCIII on a new FJR?

If you are getting an 08, I would wait to install the PCIII to see if Yamaha truly "fixed" the issues.

    Streetmasters Precision Cornering Workshop

I attended the Streetmasters Precision Cornering Workshop class this past Saturday (9/22). In a nutshell: what a great course. Well worth the investment in my riding ability and safety. Anyone who is thinking about it should take it without hesitation. My class was a bit more “challenging”...

    07AE CLOSEOUT SALE!!!

Hollywood? North Hollywood Yamaha? I looked there in July 2006 when I bought my AE. They would not move from MSRP. Went to L.A. Yamaha in Marina Del Rey. Had great OTD prices. Sounds like you got a good deal in So Cal. Oh yeah, NH Yami wouldn't even try to match the OTD price from L.A...

    '08 News

Newbie question. Do you think there' a way current Gen II owners could have their ECU's re-mapped to the 08 model? *shrug*

    Throttlemeister

I have the heavy, but to be honest I think my other bar-ends took care of the buzz better than the TMs. I had the Manic Salamander bar-ends: https://www.manicsalamander.com/bar_end_weight.htm#6mmYamaha

    Tank Bag

I think you need to tell us what you're looking to use the tank bag for? (i.e. how large will you need it to be.) I went with this one: https://www.newenoughhp.com/luggage/tank_ba...e_tank_bag.html Nelson Rigg CL 300. It is perfect for what I needed it for. Some storage and it didn't block...

    What's everyone's preference for slip on's?

I'm also thinking about slip-ons. Either Holeshot or Leo Vince. For those with either: how is the drone, if any, at approx 3500-4000 rpm? (That's my usual cruising rpm range). I do like the sound of the Holeshots via the sound clip. But I'm not going to necessarily go by that. And I do...

    riser measurements

Who's afraid of the big bad electric shift?

I like it for heavy traffic riding (I live in the Los Angeles area). It's been great so far for me. 11k miles in just over a year. I did purchase the extended warranty because of the electronic clutch. The unknown....
