Been thinking about adding a riser plate to my FJR. When I see 1.5" back or 1.5" up and back, where is that based? At the grips? Or at the triple trees? Thanks for any info.

Just looked at the Road Star. 1600cc and it has a Mikuni carburetor. :clapping: Maybe Yamaha isn't out of the race.

Did you lower the front as well (slide fork tubes up triple tree)? If so, how difficult was this to get both tubes even?

I will say that reading about the HDs, they do get pretty good fuel economy. Just can't bring myself to buying one. Thought the Victory was noisy? Hmmmm. While at the dealership they started one up for me, didn't think that. I did not, however, take it for a test ride which they offered. I...

hmmmm I guess my mileage isn't too bad. I have the PCIII installed with the Wally Smoothness map for Gen II. I get to about 200 miles and then the low fuel flashing starts. Usually add about 5.5 gallons at that point. Before the PCIII I would get to about 225-230 miles before the low fuel...

Doing some "research" on the Airhawk... might be something to consider. Also found them on eBay for $134, shipping included.

Being informed it's not illegal (I'd rather say that than it's legal), is a big problem in Los Angeles. There are a lot of VERY dumb people driving cars. I also agree completely with you about lane-sharing within reason. I'll be on my FJR travelling 75 mph and have some ***** on a Gixxer fly...
