also... I have a Corbin on my 2006 AE. Don't believe what you read on their website. The seat is lower than the stock seat (in low setting) but the Corbin is wider so anything gained by the lower seat is lost with the wider seat. Notwithstanding this, the Corbin seat IMO is more comfortable...

Got off the phone with the dealership. Yes... they said it's a fast idle. They're keeping the bike until Monday so they can talk with Yamaha because they are still conducting diagnostics... And remember, this is the same dealership that adjusted my idle at 600 miles because it was too low...

Happened again. This time I almost got re-ended by a car because of it. She's at the dealership now... I'll update when I know anything. This sucks.

Years ago (in my 20's) I had a 600 Ninja. Didn't think anything of "comfort." Came from a custom chopper (Big Bear Choppers) to the FJR this past summer. This was a HUGE difference for me. Really laid back "cruiser" to the FJR. I will agree, I was not expecting the difference in riding...

I go the same "pitch" to complete the paperwork and then test ride the bike. Funny thing was when I signed the paperwork they said it wasn't contingent on me test riding, it was done deal. Doesn't matter, still love the bike even though I was duped.

Daily commute for me on my AE is 50 miles round trip (to and from work). Then add the miles with the weekend riding with my GF. :yahoo: Besides the gas savings, I also get to cut off commute time when it's slow on the freeway and I split lanes. Some days I save at least 20-30 minutes...
