    2016 MotoGP on US TV

VideoPass here. It's a bit of a rip, but I justify it since I don't have any other pay TV services. Well, some Amazon and Netflix, but a few flicks a month doesn't cost me much either.

    No spark

What about the "other side" of the coil. Shouldn't it be getting 12v? Check the ignition fuse? If it comes down to ECU replacement (and I doubt it's gone south) would think there would be plenty on eBay.

    Sena 20s Reviews with earplugs

I have both 10r and 10s and both have same speaker elements. The 20s looks like it also uses the same speakers. Regarding sound quality, I was impressed... when engine is off, you're sitting still and without plugs. Once under way, engine noise and wind noise take over. Even with plugs I can...

    Fuel Injector, 2006-2012 - $85

This injector was bought to baseline my existing injectors after having them cleaned. It has never been installed, used only for flow testing. Asking $85 and will pay shipping to US48. Based on part number lookup (5JW-13761-10), will fit 2006 to 2012 FJRs.

Olympia Airglide 4 on Sale Cheap - Any Good?

I'm on my 2nd set of pants. Easy on/off and good ventilation for warm weather. Just OK protection for suburban riding but not aware of anything better for the price range. Hip padding is my primary complaint. It's a foam-type material that is a bit fragile and tends to degrade over time...

    Gen 2 CPU's... ok to run 2k8 cpu in a 2k6?

A bit dated post, but I'll give you my experience. I was having FI issues with my '07 and put an '08 ECU in it. It's newer so it must be better, right? It turns out my problems were unrelated to ECU but I stuck with the '08. That was a couple years ago and I've had zero problems.

    Toyota truck frame recall

Yep, the 2000 Tacoma frames were made by Dana, Toyota sued and won $25 mil. It's a complex world and not all parts come from the same continent/mfg. I heard it takes two mechanics 40 hours to do the replacement. I actually wish I had a choice in the matter and would have preferred to keep my...

    Toyota truck frame recall

Been there, done that! I had a 2000 Tacoma that had a 15 year extended rust warranty from Toyota. (Different years had different length of coverage) Doing a brake job last spring I noticed a fair bit of rust on the frame and remembered the rust warranty. I realized I was within a few months...

The wine bottle opening trick certainly looked legit!

    Poor running FJR1300AE

Yeah, kinda scratching my head as 70bsalightning mentioned disconnecting it and bike ran fine. In some instances the ECU can "infer" or use a default value when some sensors go bad, but no idea how it could do that if crank sensor is disconnected.

    Poor running FJR1300AE

The ECU isn't consistent when it will throw a code so I wouldn't wait for code to reappear. It's possible to disconnect some sensors without any code reported by the ECU. The code 11 you received is the best indication of fault I've heard so far. Why not troubleshoot it? See the steps listed...

    I've got the dreaded leak...

This is the text book method on how to overfill the final drive.

    Poor running FJR1300AE

Yep, another solid gold post from IONBeam! Did you notice the methodical process he used (starting with DIAG) to isolate and then confirm the problem? I understand the difficulty of trying to troubleshoot a system that doesn't provide much feedback (hey Yamaha, how about an OBD interface?) but...

    Poor running FJR1300AE

Use the DIAG feature to troubleshoot the TPS. Except for an intermittent connection issue, it should be a reliable method.

    Poor running FJR1300AE

A malfunctioning cold start circuit will not cause a rich condition. At its basic function, the cold start circuit is no different than the idle speed adjustment, it is simply an air bypass circuit that lets additional air into the manifold. And like the idle speed circuit, the ECU has no...

    Poor running FJR1300AE

Bad battery and or terminal connections have been responsible for many scenarios like you describe. Re sensors, learn how to access DIAG system via the dash buttons and you can troubleshoot them from there. Other than a problem with the TPS many years ago, I think the sensors (and ECU) on the...

    Left Saddle Bag

If that falls through I have an option. I have a left side bag that was damaged in a fall. The outer shell has been separated from the inner in preparation for repair but I decided to buy new.
