Stuttering problem, I'm at a loss (Update, Problem Fixed)

While troubleshooting my own stuttering problem I tried various homebrew methods of injector cleaning including many fuel elixers and a dip in my ultrasonic cleaner. My attempts paled in comparision to having them professionally cleaned and the service typically includes new screens and seals...

    Miller Motorsports

Been there for a couple Super Bike races, watched Ben Spies kick butte! Do you think it was particularly bad for spectators or that it was in the middle of no-where?

    Weird idle problem

You can see a portion of the fast idle mechanism below and on the left side of the intake manifold. You should also be able see it move (slightly) as engine warms and manually engage it as well.

    Light weight dual sport ?

One downside to the smaller dual sports is the seat height. Quite a few are over 35" from factory. Check out cycle-ergo.com to see how you fit.

    G@& Damn. Battery!

I don't think a drop to 10v is indicates a bad battery considering the current draw on the starter, but I have no reference. When my 7 year old battery was going bad I was seeing voltage drop to 9.5 or bit less and it was causing the ECU to go into a funk. I'd be interested to hear if someone...

    G@& Damn. Battery!

When you say you're disconnecting the neg cable, are you then running your meter in series? IANAE, but considering we're talking about 70+ amps, I thought clamp type ammeters were the way to go and the pass-through type meters were limited to milliamps or maybe a few amps. Are you sure your...

    Steaming battery: diagnosis help needed

During some electrical troubleshooting I found I needed to pull the fuel pump fuse to get a reliable reading from a digital ammeter. Maybe it was the bargain meter I used but the refresh rate was slow enough and the bike started so quickly I was never sure current displayed was peak or some...
