    The Hog Phenomenon

For a fellow who doesn't seem to want anyone to be critical of what he has to say you sure seem to be awfully critical of others. Yeah, they know about "other" brands. One clever fellow on a Harley forum posted that when he traveled he carried a large Yamaha bike cover. At night he would...

    The Hog Phenomenon

What. The. Complete. Hell. I have never seen a topic about any other brand on the Harley forums I have studied. They just talk about Harleys. Which makes me think they might be smarter than some of their critics.

    Jan-Michael Vincent

And several posters of him on your wall... Not that there is anything wrong with that of course.

    Hurricane Michael, a personal view...

Walt, thanks for the update. I was wondering how things were going. This is not where I hoped you would be. How the hell do you fit in that Miata? Aren't you about the same size as Panman? The T-111 siding really isn't bad stuff, depending on the finish and the installation. Maybe going...

    First rides of the year

What's this "first rides" thing? Is there some law against riding in January and February? It was only about 64F here today, a little bit chilly for a ride but doable with the grip heaters and raising the windshield. I know, that's kinda mean. I feel for those of you snowed in up North. I...

    First Ride in March

That's for a 2 year anniversary. When you get to 20 you'll be fortunate if she still even speaks to you. At least that has been my experience. Hope you enjoyed the motorcycle ride.

Sliders & Cages for 1300 ES

Another vote for the T-Rex Racing guards. I will agree with Bugs, the instructions could be slightly better. Said instructions make complete sense...after you figure out what to do!

    The Other Shoe Has Dropped

Nice you say? I cannot imagine you being anything but nice!

    The Other Shoe Has Dropped

Ride more, stress less. Lots of FJRS out there (including mine) that have never had the swingarm bearings serviced and they are still doing just fine. Is it better to do it? Certainly. Is it the end of the world if you don't? Not in the short term for sure.

    DR650S, AKA Big Suzy

Well the chain somehow got a light smattering of surface rust whilst parked. I thought it was properly sorted but apparently my Big Bend ride did it some meanness I had not expected. It was about 80F here today. I was able to cut most of my grass but the yard is still so wet from the never...

    DR650S, AKA Big Suzy

Big Suzy has been sitting and collecting dust and so has the FJR. I just have too many things going on. Life. However, I rode the FJR yesterday and pulled the DR out today. Hit it gently with the pressure washer, cleaned the chain, and rode it around the yard a few times. I am going to ride...

    March Ramblin'

I don't want to steal Big John's spotlight and I hope he posts something up soon. I will just post a few pics from the first part of his ride today and we can see where this leads. Hppants leading the crew with my Super Awesome '15 ES waiting patiently in the foreground: Big John on his...

    An Alternate to Shoveling Snow

I noticed that no matter what wine was served with dinner, Yamafitter liked it. If it had been Mad Dog 20/20... "The MD 20/20 served with dinner tasted excellent".

    !3! More Get Ups

Sometimes it's hard to resist that money. I think it's great when a company recognizes the value of its retirees and brings them back in for turnarounds. My company recently started doing this and it was beneficial for everyone involved.

    Tire recommendations

The PR2s were and still are very good in the wet but each new version of the PR has been an improvement in wet weather traction. I ride in the rain a lot down here in South Louisiana and wet weather traction has always been my primary reason for staying with some version of the Michelin PR...

    Information please: FJR Police Edition?

The old ST1300 (PanEuropean) lasted a lot longer in England than it did here. It seems to be discontinued now but was available new in dealerships up through 2017. England has not used the PanEuro for a police motorcycle for many years, the death of a motorcycle officer attributed to the "Pan...

What's the Weather like where YOU are today?

Got up at 4:00 am and turned on the Air Conditioner. Too hot to sleep. I really need to cut my grass but it won't stop raining long enough for the yard to dry.

    Learn from my mistake!

Very True my friend but how many times have you heard of a 12 year old FJR with only 30K miles? Perhaps the riding season in Dallas TX is very short? Yeah, the rear brake lever sticking is a well known issue. Usually pointed out by the rider behind noticing your brake lights staying on.

    March Ramblin'

Unless you are in a rush or have some other reason for swinging north of Beaumont on your way to Joey's, try the coast road instead. Pop and I met Josh at the TX/LA border on the Gulf Coast and led him to Joey's from there and it is an interesting ride. You might enjoy it. Josh had an issue...
