I have a version of those weights suspended in fluid in the ring on the hubs of my motorhome, they work. In the older days, semi truck drivers used golf balls.

Dyna Beads - Do they work? If so, how?

The one reason I discontinued using them was whenchecking tire pressures one day,one of the beads got stuck in the valve stem and de-flated my tire. Good thing I was home! The airsoft ammo sounds promising because of their larger size.i THOUGHT they worked pretty well. Aren't lead weighted...

    Tire Change - Old School

3 spoons and a bumper jack to break the beads. Spray silicone for tire removal,it almost falls off the rim. I made a box out of 2x4s to set the disc in. I'm going to try the no tool(5 straps) method and see if I can pop a tire on. I've been changing my own for nearly 50 years.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance - Brave Americans.

I bowl on my team with a WWII vet. He towed damaged vessles to port and repaired them to get back in the fight. Another vet I bowled with until 2 years ago witnessed one of the first atomic bomb explosions. May GOD bless these who are still with us,and their fallen Brothers annd Sisters.

Thoughts on Shinko Tires for Gen 1 FJR?

I've been using Ravens on my 05 for 5 yrs with no problems, wet or dry, usually 1500-2000 more milage than the expensive tires I tried, usually around 6-7 k on the rears. I don't know what tire that de-laminated that had the skip center groove. It doesn't look like the Ravens. I ride solo,80%,the...

Musings of an aging FJR rider

I'm 64 now, and have had diabetes for 43 years. I went the opposite way when it was becoming diffcult doing slow speed stuff on the Venture. I can truly say,our riding time together has been extended because of "downsizing" to the FJR. The trips we take now are in the 150-300 mi range,anything...
