    Those damn scooters

I realize this is a tough one, but don't back down and make sure you give your audience the appropriate feedback when you have a chance. I HATE society in general not taking responsibility for their actions and laying blame elsewhere. This was NOT the fault of those damned motorcycles or...

    Optical illusion of motion

Yep, when I close my eyes, it all stops!

    Loaning your bike.......

I loaned my 05 to the insurance company... once. (See sig for details) That is the only time I have loaned out my bike.

    2nd gear shift issues

Glad to hear it is working better. Make sure your adjustment on your shifter is correct (probably needs/needed to be lowered as most of our feet don't like to raise that high) and ride it with a firm foot for a while. I think it'll get better for you. If the adjustment doesn't fix it, look at...

For the hard-core Engine Techs among us!

Engine specs look interesting.... I'd like to ride it at least once! As for the concept bike.... chain drive? Really? Nope, not interested.

    V-Stream vs CB vs Stock

Glad to help. It was funny seeing the thread, I thought "That looks familiar" then I saw that I started it. Anyway, I'm glad the internet keeps this stuff around for others to benefit from. P.S. I'm riding an 08 now, but still using the CB with flip. Love it! No need for venting on my Gen...

    2nd gear shift issues

I'm curious to know the results of the work. Would be nice if the clutch/shifting worked like a champ afterwards!

Looking for Places To Stay - UT CO WY MT WA OR CA

Since you will be in the area, don't miss Beartooth Pass. You'll kick yourself to the grave if you don't ride this road just east of Yellowstone out of Cooke City. It goes up over the mountains at about 11K feet and drops back down into Red Lodge. Way to many switchbacks to count, too much...

    NAFO Fees

I hope no one misunderstood the intent of my post. I admire the OP for bringing up the subject and helping to shed light on a fee that, even I have wondered about a couple times. I happened to know the folks planning the gig in the past and trusted them though. Regardless, it's nice to know...

    NAFO Fees

I know the primary focus of this discussion is "Where's the money going", but I want to reiterate the "Why should I pay that much" side of it: I’m a cheap ******* when it comes to some things and I’m happy to spend too much on others. Staying in a nice hotel is easily worth $100+ a night, but...

    2nd gear shift issues

I just re-read the post after noticing something... First, flush the clutch line fluid and bleed it. Make sure you have maximum clutch disengagement when pulling the lever. Next, I'd pull the clutch basket and check everything to make sure there isn't any junk stuck on the plates or the...

How to remove front wheel with the center stand

Just use some boards to gently rest the front-end of the headers on. Most of us do this and it doesn't hurt a thing. Just did my tires the other day and had the bike free-standing on center stand and 2x4s under front fairing for 24 hours while I had the rubber switched. Perfectly stable.

    2nd gear shift issues

I hated the "throw" on my 05 and my 08. I swapped the R1 shift arm for my stocker and it made the throw shorter. Of course, you have to have a good firm shift as well. Anyway, i can shift with the best of them now. JMHO. For more info, do a search for R1 shift lever on the forum. You can...

Throttle Return Spring & Throttle Body Sync - Crap...

I did the spring flip (unwrap 1 full turn) on both my 05 and my 08. Worked like a champ. If it failed to catch, not cool, but it can be re-wrapped (highly recommended) by using some string and patience. TBS is an exercise in patience and persistence. Take your time, use needle-nose or...

    WynPro ( BIG-FOOT)

Just sent my donation to the cause. Please note the shipping address is different than what is on my PayPal account. I can log into the forum, but not to PayPal from work. I need to change it when I get home. I sent the funds from my phone. Anyway, thanks for a great looking product. I...
