    Oil change

I honestly believe part of my problem was a little bit of galvanic bonding went on between the drain bolt and oil pan. I just bought it new, so it spent approximately 3 years on floor/in warehouse. I can imagine that during all those long winter nights together......well.....things happen.

Just did my first oil change, piece of cake except for the friggin oil pan dran plug. Jeeze Louise, now I know where King Kong went to work after his film career in Japan, he's working for Yamaha installing oil pan drain plugs.

    Yes they were not.

I bought my bike a week or 2 ago. Finally went out to loctite these fasteners. The dealer apparently was aware of this issue, the nuts and screws had been replaced with rivets. No loctite needed.

    Comments on the Auto Shift?

Just bought mine, took about 1 minute and 2 laps around the dealer parking lot to be competent with it, not smooth but competent. I never did have a low speed problem with it. I would caution though, don't do what I almost did, I was in traffic at a red light, bike was in 1st gear, and almost...

    New VFR--Love MY FJR

What really peaked my interest in the new VFR was the valve adjustment system, back the to old screw type, good for you Honda. I've been concerned with the trend in current motorcycling going towards designs that are becoming very difficult to maintain by the owner. I see this as a step...
