Oh great gurus of all things Electron... My 79 KZ1300 A1 has two independent charging systems. Unfortunately, they are charging at full tilt, full RR output of 14.8 to 15.0 volts. Found this really informative post from a Kz1300.com member.. Who basically said voltage drops on the 'brown'...

A 'bush' fix is to remove the slave cylinder and put a small wad of tin foil or other suitable material in the hole to make the push rod 'longer' for more throw. JSNS.

Hi Iris, It's not all that hard, but not 'easy' to remove the nose on an FJR. Search the forum, you will find good info. IF you switch ain't broke, don't worry it. When I get to doing mine I'll take pics and video if you can wait that long..

I too have decided to eat the cost of a new switch and not let a hack destroy beautiful Naomi. Having said that, it won't be done until, if, the switch dies and when I need to perform other work under the nose.

Pretty darn solid, all things given. Obviously, more 'dancy' than a big fat fjr pig but not nearly as twitchy as my 426 yz at full tilt on the street. Put another way, no pucker factor but very aware of what *could* happen quickly?
