Now that I have a 2014 on order I have a question about the modes. Which one is close to the way my Gen I (2004) runs??

Good for you Iris and Jim. I too am going to get a 2014. Mine will most likely be a 1300A. But if my dealer treats me right I might get a ES. Time will tell.

I don't know about you Ionbeam but it looks like a 2014 FJR is in my future. The wife just gave her blessing today. Now to talk price with my dealer. Tom

Yuasa YT14B-BS has 210 CCA. About the most I found for about $125. YMMV

I live about 45 minutes away from there in case you want to "hook up" for a ride. Tom

I've had the best luck with the Yuasa YT14B-BS battery. Best Cold Cranking Amps to be had. They can be bought for $100 TO $120.

Glad you got your FJR back on the road. I'm also glad I was a SMALL part of this ADVENTURE. If you ever get up to the North East Fred W and I can take you on a couple of "tours". Fred's do include DIRT roads!! Enjoy the FJR.
