Are you trying to imply that there might be a cager somewhere that actually IS attentive? They almost failed me in my USMC MSF course because they require a rear wheel lockup and skid. Can't be done on an '84 Venture Royal with linked brakes :P

The barbarian mod is different between gen 1 and gen 2. Different wires to play with. If you're using the gen 2 writeup, it's no wonder it doesn't work on the gen 1.

You could always ride on over to my place and I can hook ya up with the tools and show you how to do it if you like. Anybody that rides an FJR and looks like Mr Happy is cool in my book :P You can even bring whatever other parts you need help installing. Driving directions San Jose, CA to...
