    GPS mount (3d print)

I confirm the pattern - it is the same, so it will work for XT.

    GPS mount (3d print)

TooManyBikes - OK. Madmudder, yup - can be adapted to anything. There is high probability that it will fit to XT directly - send me hole diameter and axes dimensions (in mm) for mounting screw for XT craddle, I will check current design.

    GPS mount (3d print)

Hi TooManyBikes, Sure. Current design is done for BMW NAV (4,5&6) cradle, will work fine for Garmin Z66x models. For other navigators, small redesign will be required. PM me what is your NAV, what format of data you are looking for and we will find a way.

    Battery replacement

OEM batttery since March 2015 on my FJR - still works like a charm. During winter break time to time on trickle charger, that's it.

    FJR1300 To Be Retired

Just seen this article: https://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/guides/2022-yamaha-fjr1300-performance-price-and-photos-ar166013.html A new strategy how to keep FJR alive is to rename it to Kawasaki  ???

    GPS mount (3d print)

I am an owner of FJR's since 2007. Most of the time I used Stem mount for GPS Navigation location, on my current bike the one from Techmount and I was pretty satisfied with that solution (liked it better than mount on handlebars). Disadvantage of Stem mount is, that GPS is pretty low and to...

Losing a side case. Is this just an urban legend?

On my 3rd FJR and after 140k km I lost today right saddleback (forever - did not find it…). Not sure what the issue was.

    New Bike Choice

Your pre-selection is very good and I fully agree with @infrared recommendations before you will decide. Have both bikes in my garage - FJR is mine (third FJR in row), RS is my wife‘s machine. RS is lighter, super easy to handle (Silvia weight is 51 kg - that‘s an evidence), a lot of fun from...

    2015 FRJ1300AE - Magnetic Bronze (Europe, Slovakia)

I have this baby (my 3th FJR in row) since March 2015 and still love that bike. Living in Slovakia, I enjoy riding here (Slovakia and Czech) and in whole Europe - Alps are my favorite area to go for longer trips (Austria, Italy, France, Swiss). I planned to upgrade to new 2022 FJR, but there is...

    2022 FJR?

BMW has RS, RT and will have next year new K1600 - all with Euro5. So it works and market must be there. Tracer can compete to XR’s but not to those ST machines. I still hope that Yamaha will show us something what we all want…

Stiffy kit & Yamaha aluminum rear rack

Yes. Works well, I have this setup, but may be not needed as Alu rack is already designed to reinforce the frame.

Back on the Road: Transmission Recall Repair Done

Thanks. A friend mine who has 2018 model got info from his dealer, that most probably he will be charged for the work. What sounds very strange to me. He lives in Czech, will let him know.
