    Computer MPG vs Actual MPG

My Computer was extreamly accurate for the first 10k miles. AVG around town was always 40 - 41mpg, according to both the trip computer and a calculator. HiWay consistant 49 - 51mpg. Now that the Power Commander is in there, game over! Actual MPG have dropped to about 36mpg city and HiWay to...

    Adjusting the heat vents

YUP, same here. Hot is hot and I cant tell the difference at all. But opening them up in the winter def deflects the cold air around your legs and helps to keep you warm.

    Anyone not have collision insurance?

I dont get what this has to do with your decision about collision insurance. Just because you wouldnt consider buying another bike your willing to take the loss? They cut you a check, they dont make you replace the bike with it. If the cost of collision is high compared to the value of the...

    Anyone use the rear brake?

I use both most of the time but shy away from the rear breaks in the twisties. The linked breaking system is nice and always feels stable but sometime I wish I had full control over the front and rear when riding "Aggresively" I recently took the AZ motorcycle endorcement test. I've been...

    Idiots (not) at stop signs...

Same here in AZ too. when I pull up to intersections on the bike alot of time people try to wave me on. I wont go, just stick to the rules of the road. A bigger problem here is that these ying yangs dont know the rules of the road. I have always had a problem with AZ drivers and my friends...

    Protective Film - Bags

I used the Tankslapper film and it worked fine. Of course it was the place that needed it most and was the hardest place to apply it (Murphys Law in Action!) I did get it on there and it worked good. I eventually got used to mounting and dismounting without kicking that darn bag. Problem is...

    We Lost A Great Friend

OMG, how tragic! I was shocked to see this post, still in disbelief. I never had the honor of meeting Tim but felt as if I knew him through this forum. His sense of humor just shone thru. There is going to be a gaping hole in this forum for a very long time to come. My condolences to his...
