    Anyone ride with ski gloves?

I agree that ski gloves will not give the best protection in a crash, but I have them so no additional cost involved, and I believe that hypothermia is a greater risk than abrasion protection since the former would/ could lead to the latter. I have ridden with V-Strom hand guards and these...

Purchasing an FJR in Atlanta and driving to Rochester

See if you can do the transfer before you go, then you can bring a plate, registration an insurance with you. All legal like. I couldn't do this because I needed to get I inspected before they would give me the registration. Good luck. These bikes are worth the bother. :) Worney

Wiring lights and other stuff. Photos? Tech meet?

Short answer is you don't have to disconnect anything other than 2 bolts at the top (front) of the tank and remove the trim piece by the seat then loosen the bottom bolts, take a short 2X4 and use it to prop the tank up. Try looking here. I just did this and I'll try adding some pictures in the...

what is the best route to run power to under the seat

You can find this stuff in a bunch of places, like auto zone, radio shack, etc.. There is a heat resistant type that should be used for running under the tank unless you want melted goop all over the place.

what is the best route to run power to under the seat

Grounding back to the battery could help with avoiding "noise" if you ever install an intercom, CB, etc. It is easier to do just do it right, than diagnose it.

    A Windshield Odyssey

How big is it? I have only seen pics of them, never in person. Anyone else try the vents in the shield? I am this close to pulling out the saw and drill to experiment on my extra stock shield. :) Worney

    A Windshield Odyssey

You sir have purchased a lot of plastic! Did you get rid if the lip? I am thinking of trying that myself. The trouble I have is that temps here can go from 5 to 35/40C in a day and I want something that can give me protection but doesn't give me the buffeting. Have you tried drilling a vent in...

    Fuzeblock questions

Try to mak all your + red and the - black. Leave extra (more than you would think) as you run wires. (Its a pain to splice). Mark the wires at both ends to make it easier to troubleshoot. Lots more but its all covered in the threads. Most important is to take your time and plan first. :) -...

    Plasti-Dip

I tried to buy some earlier this year and was told in a few hardware stores that it's no longer available in Canada because there are some volatile components that are supposed to be quite toxic. Don't know if that's true but that's what I was told. -worney
