    Best Boots?

Did you go ahead and get the Ladystars for your wife? If so, how does she like them and can she wear them for walking around after the ride? I am looking at getting them and would love to hear her feedback on them! Thanks! Sherri

    Best Boots?

Did you order off their website? Or did you find a dealer near you? I'd really like to try on their Lady Star GTX to see if they would work for me. I don't want to have to pay $389 to find they don't work. If you ordered from their site, how long did it take for you to receive them? Thanks, Sherri

What Else Can I Do To My FJR?

Timmy, I am sorry. Ouch in so very many ways! Hope you are healing well. All I can say is "Holy sh*t! What am I getting myself into by riding a bike?!" ... PM. Love ya, get well soon and don't let them total your baby! Unless, of course it works out better in your favor for them to...

Sherri and I brought home a new member of the family today

Thanks! I'm looking forward to riding it again tomorrow! As for who leads and who follows... well, Andrew followed me for my trip around the block so I'd feel safe :) He's such a Knight! Gotta love him!

    I Survived MSF Training!

Aww, shucks... honestly, riding a bike was really something I never saw myself doing. I know that I am a cautious (insert 'scaredy cat') person. I realize that there's always going to be some other vehicle on the road while I am on a bike and this is going to be scary (insert 'nervous as a...

Sherri and I brought home a new member of the family today

Apparently, Penny got saddlebags for her new FZ6, and is going to send me pics. I'd be interested in getting them if they don't require me to alter the bike. Hey! She's new - give me a break! I'm sure a tankbag will probably be coming into the picture. I already added frame...

    I Survived MSF Training!

John, Congrats to you too!!! The bike I was on in class was touchy in 1st and then I couldn't do the damned figure 8's in a box in either gear without overshooting the lines! GRRR! I definitely didn't like that maneuver. I think we'll get another bike that is something I can practice on soon...

    I Survived MSF Training!

Thanks! I actually did have fun in class! I do think that I will ride myself at some point, because, why go through all the sore muscles if not? :-D Besides, Andrew and I have already been looking at bikes that will fit my height... :) My first requirement is that it not be new and not too...

    I Survived MSF Training!

Oh my! That's a very nice looking motorcycle! As for the apostasy... Forgive me, but a figure-8 double U-turn in a box really sucks! :P

    I Survived MSF Training!

Dave, my friend, you know what I mean by sore muscles that have been under-used! You have been a great inspiration and support for my healing! Thanks so much for all your input! I really never thought I'd ride a motorcycle and think it was fun (and not terrifying!)! But when the instructor...

    I Survived MSF Training!

There's two problems with that plan: 1.) Andrew works from home. 2.) I'm too short to safely ride our beautiful FJR baby. Also, there's the fact that they trained us on Kawasaki Elimanator 125's..... I mean, beside the obvious height difference, is there anything I should look out for when...

A vendor to avoid? Not happy...

Frankly, this vendor didn't have any balls, IMO. Did they EVER call me back when they said they would call me "right back"? NO. Did they EVER call me or Andrew EVER to explain anything about the status or what the f*ck they had determined the issue to be? NO. I am a very patient and...

    I Survived MSF Training!

:yahoo: Oh, dear me - my muscles haven't been this sore since I can't remember when! (For those that don't know me - I have had a painful lower back problem for over 4 years and recently got treatment for it. So, my limited activity due to pain during those 4+ years have left me terribly...

    two up

Well.... I think I had the same thought about our FJR when I sat on her at the dealer. Not too long after we bought ours, Andrew (OrangevaleFJR) and I took off on a road trip to visit family in Denver, CO. I think it was late July or early August 2005. This was my first experience of being a...

    Napa Spring run 17th Feb.

Well, I'll be pillion on this one, but, we won't have the camera! Sorry guys! The repair place sent it back "repaired" - with one of the issues not repaired. Blah. I guess that means I get to relax and enjoy the ride this time! :) Looking forward to it!
