You can't make up your mind, snowmobile or flying, try this ...

Absolutely bonkers! I like. (except for the atrocious 'music' )

How hard do you run your FJR, and how often?

Please tell me you don't have to dance and sing!

    quickshifter

The clutch cable on my brand new Norton Commando 850 broke at the lever during the maiden voyage, due to lack of lube. I very quickly learned how to do clutchless shifts Darn thing kept stalling at stops, but I just happened to have a small vise-grips pliers in my jacket pocket, so I locked...

Downhill both ways? Kinda tough on the shoe leather otherwise.

    Bony-Eared Assfish

10 of the 13 posts so far contain the word 'fish' at least once, doesn't that count?... I note yours does not Anyway, I'm bored. It's freezing out and my FJR is in storage mode, so I'm reduced to posting about bony-eared assfish for entertainment

Gotta keep an eye out for the Queen's Cowboys for sure. They tend to be much less tolerant on holiday weekends. Also one has to be extra-careful the closer one gets to urban centers. Choose the right time/road, and there's lots of twisty fun to be had around here!

    Lowest After Market Seat

^^ What the Gmann say. Probably, afaik. I think the Corbin is @ 1" - 1 1/2" lower, (check the Corbin site to confirm). I got one 2nd hand from a fellow forumite. Liked the lower height, and it looks very stylish. I found it marginally more comfortable than stock, but sadly not sufficient to...

FJR on gravel and fire roads

Sounds like many sections of the Hope-Princeton "highway", particularly in springtime.

FJR on gravel and fire roads

The only thing keeping me from riding some of the gravel/dirt roads around here are the a$$hats driving huge, dually pickups at excessive speeds, throwing gravel at me. I've been impressed with the FJR's decent handling on the occasions where I've had no choice but to ride on gravel. For a...

    Scam email warning.

I got a call to inform me my "certified check" was ready, and the caller wanted to confirm my identity prior to sending it to me. So I asked him to read the name on the check, and I'd tell him if it was correct. He became abusive, and demanded I tell him my name, at which point I laughed at...

Clutch Lever - Might be a dumb question.

That darn bushing is one of the areas which should be regularly cleaned and lubed, as it is somewhat exposed and prone to collecting dirt - leading to premature wear. FSM recommends every 6 months, but that may be insufficient depending on environment.

    Heads-Up Display Helmet

Nope. Not a good idea, for the reasons stated above. Our human perceptions have not evolved much beyond keeping an eye out for a hungry leopard, and are being stretched far beyond inherent limits already. I take riding and driving very seriously, because of all the hazards, which I'm sure I...
