    Datel Install

There's a slight difference in the internal resistance of the two different measurement devices. I don't get why this is an issue what so ever. A 0.2 volt difference in charging systems is nothing. But if you want the most accurate measurement, get a Fluke meter. The craftsman is probably...

Anyone had problems with the E55's remote release?

Actually it was a stupid question for me to ask. Solenoids are either on or off. Of course they are going to buzz when they are actuated.

Anyone had problems with the E55's remote release?

I looked the solenoid over pretty thoroughly and it looked to be free moving. And tests with power looked good. When I contacted Givi they suggested the same thing you did. When I get home from China, I'll try that. Mine buzzes. Does yours? I mean when I press the button the first time it...

    What canera to buy

After reviewing all the specs and comparing everything, it came down to one simple thing. Cost. The Contour+ retails for $550 in Canada. And to make a fair comparison you need to get the water proof case which is another $50. So $600 for Contour+ and $350 for Gopro. I've saved enough money...

Anyone had problems with the E55's remote release?

I just bought a Givi E55 and put the remote release on it. But the remote release does not release on the first try. I almost always have to do it twice. The first just buzzes, and the second will release it. Battery was topped up and I double checked the install. I can push a small object...

    What canera to buy

I've had a few helmet cams. The first being the VIO POV. The small camera idea is cool, but the cord to the huge unit is unbelievably stupid. That was a complete waste of money. Damn thing almost yanked my head off a few times on the dirt bike. Next was the contour GPS. Of course contour...

    Mounting Your GoPro Hero2

I bought a Contour cause I didn't want a toaster glued to my head. But maybe I should consider the go pros again. Thats pretty good color considering no post processing.

    Mounting Your GoPro Hero2

Did you post process the video? It looks more saturated then most Gopro videos i've seen.

New pricing from Yamaha for '12 in Canada

I was a the Calgary motorcycle show today. I heard Yamaha Canada is no more (as a corporation at least). The Canadian distributorship is done through Yamaha USA now. Better buying power for both now. Its about time. We were totally getting Fu#$$ed up here by Yamaha Canada. Parts for my YZ...

    Heated grips

I put on factory. They are really good quality. The fit and finish of them is great too. They actually look like they belong on the bike. The variable heat on the dial is great. And the controller throttles the heat up with higher RPMs. So it doesn't load the charging system too bad at...

    Fork Seal & Bushing Replacement

Great write up. I have this exact problem at home right now. I'll be heading over to the local muffler shop to find the right diameter piece. My bottom bushing looked completed stripped of teflon. I thought maybe it just wore off, but the separating of the stanchion tubes must have tore the...

    Power Commander 5 w/ Autotune

I'm surprised to hear this. My autotune didn't do much under the 2% column. I didn't get much fuel until the 5% column. That might be a cool thing to try when I get my PCV warranty replacement.

First solo trip ever and FJR is acting up. Fuel problems i think

Nope no extra heat that i noticed. But the areas i leaned out generally are obtained when you are cruising at highway speeds. Also i only leaned it upto 14.2:1. Dynojet tells me they measured fjrs at about 14.5:1 on stock computers. So im still richer then stock.

First solo trip ever and FJR is acting up. Fuel problems i think

Dynojet told me "most" of Yamaha's injected bikes use the O2 below half of your full RPM range and below 40% throttle. So in FJR's case, less then 40% throttle and less then 4500 RPM. So if that is true, that would make it usable alot I would think. However, when in open loop the map the...

First solo trip ever and FJR is acting up. Fuel problems i think

Well I certainly learned alot about this bike over this problem. First things first, the problem clearly is the PCV. I got an RMA number from Dynojet yesterday. While I was in Montana I had limped the bike back to a small town and had disconnected the PCV. When I went for a small ride that...

First solo trip ever and FJR is acting up. Fuel problems i think

Well I went for a half hour ride and removing the PCV seems to have made it better. The o2 is not connected and the check engine light did go on. Through the bin of facts I think it says that d61 shows the code which on my bike is 22. I did a quick search here and it looks like it is the air...

First solo trip ever and FJR is acting up. Fuel problems i think

The temperatures is about 90F outside and I'm driving on the highway when all of a sudden the bike starts running terrible. Hesitation, bogging, and the bike wanted to stall. In fact when I pulled over on the side of the highway, it did stall. So I had just filled up at a small town, so I...
