Well my seat finally made it back home from California! :yahoo:

She was pretty much bone stock when I got her except for the Givi Topcase. Added a few things here and there as I rode and realized the changes I wanted to make. I am stoked about the supposed "end result" (really never is one....) and am looking forward to getting some much needed R & R on my "new" ride. The pillion seat was modified by Russell as well so my wife will be much happier on the long trips (which is always a plus). I welcome the comments and suggestions.

Thanks for looking!

Damn nice bike. You got that puppy farkled out for some major distance touring.

And your post wasn't too heavy with pictures. Just right IMO.

The picture tells the story, don't it?

Your wife should be super happy with that set-up. Russell seat with heat, passenger floorboards, Givi backrest, and the trailer to hold all of her stuff. One question... were are you going to put your stuff?

Looks nice, great pics. What windshield is that?
It is the V-Stream and does a great job of creating a pocket of calm air when flying down the highway. Almost to much coverage in the heat of summer, but not unbearable in Ohio weather...

Thanks!

Josh

Whats the toggle switch on the pillion seat? Butt heater? ejection switch??

Looks like a good 2up setup, I hope that trailer can keep up with the Feejeer.

Looks great how does the bike handle with the trailer? I see wires coming out from under you seat what did you add. Do the 2 of you have intercom so you can talk either bluetooth or wired? You do need to get a ZUMO you will like it much better then the small GPS and mount it to the steering head nut you will like it better there. Goo luck and let us know if you coming to the NERDS rally in Vermont this year. Should be a great time and with that set-up yu can do it in one day and not need to worry about how much stuff of yours as you can wash your clothes every night and the rest of the space your wife will get.

Lol, toggle switch is for butt heater...

Thanks for the info! I'll be getting a set of those.

The bike handles the trailer very well and it tracks nicely behind the FJR. I actually rode out to North Carolina from Indianapolis to pick it up as I bought it used from a guy who had the hitch setup and trailer on his FJR. We installed it on my bike and I rode it home. Just had a few bags in it and hardly knew it was back there. Definitely don't want more weight in the trailer than whats on the back of the bike. It will throw the back end around a bit. 2 up with a loaded trailer should work just fine though.

The wires coming out from the seat are for my heated gear, Gerbing jacket liner and G3 gloves. They tie into the little knob on the panel by the "glove" compartment to control the heat output. My wife and I are running the Chatterbox FRS X2, which seems to work pretty good as well.

I had a ZUMO for a little while and it worked great for GPS on the road. I like the little handheld GPSMap 60Csx I have because it can be ran for hours on (2) AA batteries and works very well for other outdoor fun (hiking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, etc.). It it loaded with street maps right now and works decent enough to get me across the country. It is tied into my battery when hooked on the bike, so no worries about running out of juice on the road...

NERDS would be a good time, just have to get rid of that pesky job of mine... Might be able to squeeze some vacation time out of them though...

You have really good taste in model year FJR's. The 07 is the most unique because it is the only year of the black cherry. That's a sweet little trailer you got there but if your going to pull anything behind your FJR you might want to consider a real trailer. LOL. Like this one.

And no you didn't post to many pics. I don't think there is such a thing. You have a sweet setup I'm sure you will enjoy many miles into the future. Thanks for sharing your setup. I do like that trailer setup. It is very light weight and yet can carry alot. Nice job

Very nice, the weather is good, say, what are doing sitting at the house posting up on the forum? ;)
