    07AE VS. 08AE

Color of the bikes only. Nothing more, even pertains to my 06 AE, is color only also. Trust me the Gen II Yamaha FJRs are less reliable than the Gen I's. I know because I had an 05 non-ABS and it was never down for a failure. I truly believe the Gen IIs have an inferior electrical system...

Tanji Fuel Cell for Gen I

FYI, my Tanji #6 is simply useable totally on both Gen I orIIs. for gen 1 use simply remove front lock tab that fits into GEn II rear saddle. no other mod required. saddle bags are still easily removed without removing the cell. It was IBR tested and worked perfectly.

    arrived at Spartanburg Marriott

Arrived today at 1500 EST. :yahoo: Had a nearly uneventful 2400 mile ride with stopovers each 1k. visited with relatives in memphis and old Iron Butt partner in Cookville TN. Nearly wiped out my right ankle and shin/knee for being hit by a portion of a blown truck tire. :assassin: was...

    Yamaha Posts Half-Year Net Loss

Some of the bottom line questions in most large corporations related to continuation of a product line are as follows, IMHO: * Is there demand for the product, has volume of sales increased or decreased since its inception? * Are the fixed and recurring costs per vehicle profitable based upon...

Finally Happened -- Bike = Dead (Coma?)

I had a total ground failure due to a corroded ground connector just to the left of the triple tree under the plastic covers. My main electrical harness was replaced under YES as the wires into the harness were brittle. This was on my 06 AE. Don't fool with it, take it to the dealer. I was...

Area Created for FJR Riders in the '09 IBR

Dear GodFather, I can not tell you a lie!! I did cut down the Cherry Tree. I did buy a "Girly" WeeStrom, vintage 2009, as a backup hedge against my beloved 06 FJR 1300 AE, all rallied up in configuration, but suffering from an acute case of electrical grounding failure, not being able to...
