    When to rebalance wheels/tires?

Suffice to say that you weren't watching the road at this speed? As a tire wears, the balance point *can* move to another spot on the tire....it's not common but it does happen. What I mean is, another heavy spot becomes more apparent with additional tread wear.

    Fuel in the oil

I'm inclined to suggest that, in addition to a fuel pressure leak down getting past an injector, a possible sticky injector which might induce the situation you describe. With the awsome aweful quality of fuel we're getting, it doesn't take much more than a few weeks to get gummy......if your...

    FNG looking at FJR's

Come on now....even I did better than this when I signed up here. To answer your questions (seeing how you don't want to read the FAQ's) Fog lights? Watch out for the Abominable Snowman and the Yeti....they can real mofos. Don't think you need to "avoid" certain years. Educate yourself...

Spotted: 93 south at the NH/ MA border

You = Blue FJR with passenger. I was lane splitting in NH up to where the Staties were parked. After the traffic cleared, I slowed up and you made your way to me. We rolled for a while until I peeled off at Exit 32 in Medford. You on here?

    hair spray or glue?

Soapy water to put on and safety wire to secure. I know these were not available choices, but that's what I do and have never had an issue.

    My local dealer SUX!

Bummer. Not sure what the problem is. I ordered one and got it in 4 days. You'd think that after 90 days the stealer would, in good faith, offer a full refund in light of your situation. ......and that, kids, is why they're called "stealerships". Good luck!

do you rely on your soft luggage to be completely waterproof?

How about sewing in a roll away/ tuck away cover that's water proof? Have an ultra stretchy border which encloses the whole bag, possibly rack included. Design the leading edge of the bag to be waterproof regardless. I say go for it and post the results.

Is this bike hard to ride?

No. While the FJR is a bit weighty, it is not hard to handle, IMO. When ridden at a "sporting" pace, I've noticed that I use alot more body positioning changes, when compared to riding my FZ1, to help ease the bike into and through the twisties. At speed, an experienced rider such as yourself...
