Starting burp on my '05 which dumps my clock and odometer? 50-60-70 ride.

Yesterday morning on Day 4 of my 50-60-70 ride in Hyder, AK, the bike had a sudden false start when re- starting it at the border checkpoint. Just turned over for a half second and quit, started fine on the second attempt. The bike was warm. Then I noticed that the clock had reset to 12:00 and...

My 50/60/70 Ride (4 corners) Help me plan stops and places to see!

T minus 15 hours! I thought I was ready several days ago but between work being very busy and learning some frustrating GPS and SPOT stuff and now repacking several times cutting down the load, I'm ready for a steak, home made fries and a good Cabernet. Monday night in south central BC.

    The Hotel Booking Game

Be careful when booking online that you clearly understand that many of these aggregators have a no refund policy if your plans change. I have had some battles on the phone in the past year when making changes and it's not fun. Read the fine print! The best cancellation policies are with the...

During my soon to depart, 50/60/70 ride, I will need to find a place to stay about an hours train ride west of NYC and then take an early commuter train in the city for a long day of sight seeing and eating great food. I have no desire to ride in the congestion paying tolls, looking for parking...

Fred W and TMJ's Vacation Ride to the Great Divide

Love the report, Fred. So glad you are able to see the great areas we might take for granted on this side of the country. Just kidding, we never take the Rockies for granted. I'm wishing Marianne was along for my upcoming ride for several reasons, including photo duties.

Problem w/ Givi 52 case and Admore light kit. Help!

My new to me, used Give 52 top case came with an Admore full lighting kit with running, signal and brake lights. I cannot get the right side to light up equally with the left side. First there were 3 small led lights in the outboard that did not work as well, as the low illumination problem on...

Can "tallish" people ride an FJR comfortably?

You are going to be grinding hard stuff in the corners with this extension. I know this from experience, almost painful.

Places Where Hi Viz Won't Help

Two years ago had a semi tire explode next to my wife's car and chunks of tire made a big dent I the rear quarter panel and smashed out the tail light assembly. Scared the **** out of us. Imagine those pieces hitting a rider.
