Sounds like the bike has the same problem that some of the Gen 1's had -- mine anyway. Same conditions as you describe. Once mine started (WOT) it then ran like it had fuel starvation for the first 30 seconds or so. Ionbeam (Alan) once came up with a plausible answer, which I can't now...

Ray, I was PM'd a fix that worked for one guy on the SENA community. " on doing the firmware update -- when it says to proceed after the initial download -- scotch tape the "jog" button and the "on" button down and keep them down -- it will eventually be OK" ?? -------- worked for him...

UPDATE .... on our problem anyway. SENA customer support came through for us and did OK by us. We were shipped a new unit that arrived just a day too late, with many apologies for not getting one to us in time for our trip. BUT -- we took the old non-working one with us ---- which magically...

Aaaaand -- 2880 miles from home, Springfield, VA where the bike got tucked away for 2 nights at the Comfort Inn parking lot -- real nice place. These guys ^^^^ are minding it for us :-) Destination number one ... The silence and respect at Arlington National Cemetery .... A humbling...
