    scared away

+1 The FJR is not top heavy. Parking lot manuevers are a sinch and were much more difficult on my vmax. Want a lighter triumph sport tourer? try the sprint st. The FJR will be more comfortable for long distances though...

    Zumo 550 report

I don't have one, but I think I'd love one. I use the 2730 which I love...EXCEPT I'm a music lover and I'd really like to have lots of playlists on it and the 2730 has modest memory capacity. I believe the Zumo accepts a flash card so you could stick in a 4gig card in a be set for cross country...

    Clutch oil

I recently did some clutch work on my '05 K12S and it is one of the bikes designed to work on "hydraulic clutch mineral oil." I bought this stuff from my local bmw dealer and the packaging clearly warns against using it in systems designed for dot4 fluid and visa versa. Not sure what the stuff...

    wireless realtime tire pressure monitor

I have quite a bit of experience with the smartire. Like it very much except readability of the display at less than perfect angles. I actually prefer the 12v wiring setup. Already have to carry too many spare batteries on long trips (hard system receiver, flashlights). The sensor mount does...

    Battery

You'll learn to have a good radio, CD or MP3 player in your garage and not start a project until it's turned onto a good song and you're ready to remove lots of &*%^#! plastic.

    Performance

If smoothness is your issue, you may also want to try a TB synch if you haven't already. I had mine done at 8k and it was a different bike afterward. I suspect it wasn't well synched when new. A tech told me that's a common problem with many bikes these days. It really purrs now. No need for a...

    Electric Clothing

There's been a good amount of discussion on this. I think you'll find a fair number of happy riders with Gerbings, Aerostitch and Widder heated clothing. I have both Gerbings and Aerostitch. Gerbings are great but they won't zip in the lining of your Darien jacket. Aerostitch also has a new...

Well... she went down.. Advice needed.

I did this procedure about three weeks ago. I was too lazy to remove the headlight assembly and was able to remove and replace it. There is one screw that is VERY difficult to reach, but it is possible. You need a very small allen rachet to access it.

Farkle's and more!! What do you have on your bike...

The BAD news: Farklitus is expensive and chronic. The GOOD news: It's not fatal, and unless your spouse sees the visa bill it can be a helluva lot of fun. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! +1 I'd probably have a sticky thermometer and that's about it.
