    10% discount on Russell seats

Another with a build date of December 16, and the email confirmed that it would take two weeks from the build date to get through production, and also that everyone that is part of the group buy will be getting the 20% discount. Thanks for setting this one up Bob.

    Run, Brake, Turn Controller Install

Not certain if this is what you had in mind either, but I recently added some LED's to my Givi V46 trunk which function as both running and brake lights. Same idea could be used for LED's placed almost anywehere at the rear of the bike. Clicky Cost effective (ie cheap) and works really well...

    10% discount on Russell seats

That's the main reason I decided to get in on it. I put it off last year, knowing that another GB would happen sometime and here it is. It is bad timing for me, but having had the opportunity to try Roadrunner's seat earlier this year, (Thanks Art), I knew this was the only way to go, and I...

    Geocaching

That's where I saw it. Thanks Tbird. Seems to me that after identifying what you think the location is from the provided clues, you could use GPS to navigate to the location. The only difference I see between this and the original idea is that you would be taking a photo instead of finding a...

    10% discount on Russell seats

I've just placed my order online. I'll give them a call Monday to confirm they got it. Been trying to justify dropping that much coin at this time of year, particularly when I have just bought the YES warranty from D & H Cycles, and only yesterday paid for some international flights over Xmas...

    Geocaching

I remember seeing something similar on another site at some point. Basic concept was that someone posted a photograph of their bike in front of a specific landmark. Clues were provided as to the location, and whoever was first to find that location, snap a picture of their bike in front of it...

The FJR is an all round bike

I take it that's the Corbin Not=so-close Canyon saddle?

    Speed Control Danish Style

Great idea in principle. But if they used your average American girls, (at least the ones around here), I think I'd probably speed up dramatically, for fear of catching something other than a performance award!

    Hit & Run Accident

You are way more calm about this than I could have been in the circumstances. (Perhaps that bump to the head is still affecting you). Glad you are still here to tell us about it. Heal fast.

    Investments

Shamelessly borrowed from local talk radio: If I had invested $1000 in AIG this time last year, it would be worth around $42 today. That same $1000 invested in Lehman Bros. would now be worth around $6. However, had I the foresight to spend that $1000 on beer, I would have had a darned good...

    Involuntary Muscle Contractions

A professor at the University of Mississippi was giving a lecture on 'Involuntary Muscular Contractions' to his first year medical students. Realizing this was not the most riveting subject, the professor decided to lighten the mood slightly. He pointed to a young woman in the front row and...

    Stupid meet stupid

Maybe that's the reason the pedestrians in downtown Bawmer always seem to be on the roadway, oblivious to traffic? Clearly none of these riders were focussed on the possible dangers around them, and both suffered the consequences.

    Magnum Blasters ?

Compressor was mounted on the rear right side of the radiator, using one of the cooling fan mounting bolts. I used about 18" of hose to the horn unit, which I routed to avoid any tight bends. Relay was mounted up beside the rear of the battery. I'll take some pics when I get a chance.

    Magnum Blasters ?

I recently added the Wolo BadBoy, (which is the same as the Stebel Nautilus), that I got from my local autoparts store. Way loud indeed. Did split the compressor and mounted it remotely then added some hose between the compressor and the horns. Kit came with a relay, and was on special for...

Day 3, First Commute to work

A little pressure on the rear brake lever goes a long way to smoothing out this situation, and helps to keep the clutch engaged. As for the magnets, there is an unspoken rule here that we don't mention that 'feature'. If everyone finds out, they will all be buying FJR's and reducing our resale...

    Police Chase in UK

I've personally seen a couple of unmarked Honda Fireblades over there being used by the police. Story I got was that they were siezed from convicted drug dealers, had video and radio equipment added, and were then put to police use. I've also seen some cars and SUV's that had apparently been...

Need for a comprehensive FJR Tech Index web site

Great idea, and nicely done. It's now bookmarked.

Need a better horn for 07

To get more volume, you need to steer away from the small piezo buzzers like the stockers, and get yourself some air powered horns such as the Magnum Blasters, Stebel Nautilus, or the Wolo Bad Boy. I put the Wolo's on my 07, had to remotely locate the compressor, and even then still had to...

    My dad's not well

Sharon, My deepest sympathies on the loss of your father, clearly a great man indeed. It's apparent from your recent posts that you have inherited his bravery and courage, and my heartfelt thanks go out to you for sharing with us here. I am glad you got to share some great final moments with...
