Yamaha Touring shield for me. Zero complaints. Good looks. Good price. I used to run a Cee Bailey but it was like a barn door sometimes. The Yamaha Touring shield is just right. Stock shield sucks and Yamaha has to know that.

In order to achieve true "passing" speeds, it seems like you'd more often need to downshift to fifth on a six speed FJR than you would need to downshift to fourth on a five speed FJR. True?

Love the 2016 bike of course but these changes are nothing that would cause me to abandon my 2014 A model, farkled just as I need it to be. I don't want or need a sixth gear or a slipper clutch. The lighting updates seem like "keeping up with the Jones-es" changes as opposed to anything really...

I added the color matched side panels to my 2014. They look much better than the factory silver panels.

My Gen III 2014A bike has 3000 miles on the odo. I just installed the OEM dark metallic red side panels after removing the factory OEM silver side panels. The silver ones are both yours for $80 plus shipping. No damage or blemishes whatsoever. I'll send pics if you're interested.

I ride a scooter. I'm having a torrid affair with my new to me 2008 Yamaha Majesty 400. I still love my FJR, madly, now and forever. But the scooter pushes buttons I didn't know I had. There I said it. I lack words to say how much simple fun we are having. Who knows how long this summer fling...

Very good execution of a traditional idea. Enjoyed it. That's the FJR being put to one of its highest and best uses. Thanks for sharing.
