I'm using the HJC Sy-Max II. It's not the quietest helmet made. But it is reasonably priced, has good ventilation, is comfortable to me, and has an integral sun visor. If I ever need a quieter ride; I'll probably just use ear plugs.

I will be going for a short ride in the morning. But I don't have time to travel up your way. Maybe next time.

I just finished the first service on my FJR. I posted this just to say something that has been said before. OMG; that damn oil drain bolt was tight as hell. I'm a big guy (I can put a lot of weight behind it), and I could not break it loose with a 3/8 ratchet; I had to bust out the 1/2...

My dealer also told me that Yamaha now recommends the Yamalube 20W-50 (since there is no longer 20W-40). From all the posts I've read, it would seem they would be recommending the Yamalube 10W-40. Does anyone know why there is this discrepancy?

I dumped my 16 mpg truck for a 45 mpg FJR. At least that's one reason I used to convince my wife!!!
