    NERDS '11 is On-Line!

Well, I debated this for a while. The only catch was that Aug-Oct is a pretty busy time at work, and I'm still working on ensuring the time off. But after seeing the pics of the area, I said, "Eff it, I'm signing up." I haven't called off in several years, and I may not feel well enough to...

    Front tire bounce?

I have a similar condition around 40 mph. Tire is balanced and appears to be round. Hopefully the next PR2 front - if I go with them again - does not exhibit the same tendency. Oh, and it started at around 5k miles.

Weddings: Unfortunate Incidents, Stunts, Funny Stories, Jokes

We were married by the local JOP. He had sort of a speech impedement thing going that made him sound like the Bishop from The PrRincess Bride. (Mahwedge, that bwessed institution....) Some of my friends took to calling me Dread Pirate Roberts. Not hilarious, I know, but it still amuses me.

    Well, that was strange...

Sorry to hear about your AIDS, but I'm not sure what that has to do with ABS. Oh wait, I just re-read the original post. Geek.

What stupid manuever others have done on the road!

Wild72, Roadstar and I are on a ride through...I don't remember where. Wild leading, me at the tail. Our road had a 45 or 50 mph speed limit, and we were close to that if not actually at it. Another kinda-major road intersected our road on the right at an angle so that a vehicle coming...

What, you couldn't drop me a PM before you posted this? I thought we had something special, especially after that pic you sent me last Hallowe'en. Lemme see if I can free up some time on 6/12.

    Seat - leather vs vinyl

I don't have a srong opinion on teh leather vs. vinyl debate. However, if you end up with a vinyl seating surface, do NOT under any circumstances use Armor All on the SOB. Becomes more slippery than my ex-girlfriend at the Navy base.

    lane splitting gone awry

Apparently the driver figured, "Ya know, MC riders just dont' have enough to worry about. This ought to help." I hope they throw the book at him...while he is faling off a 17-story building...into a pit filled with alligators and razor blades...on fire. But other than that, I wish him well.

    FJR fuel milage

I had a sudden, brief fit of low fuel economy a few months back. Found out the rear brake lever was binding. Cleaned and lubed the pivot, now my mileage is back to where it should be. Anyone know if the 36 psig in the front tire may result in lower-than-ideal fuel economy?

    Quandry at hand, input needed...

I'm going with c, both. Your bike made contact with a deer, and the bike crashed. That gives you full authority to use both icons. Only one deer/zipper though, because the unborne fawn is not yet a deer. Therefor the doe has the right to choose to terminate the unborne fawn's existance. For...

    Bloated Angel

You are indeed a brave person for posting that on a Friday. From what I hear from pretty much everyone I know, there is literally NO way to miss the fact that the tire pressure is 0 psig. Front or back, the bike will not turn. So, not to criticize, but if anyone ever tells any of you reading...

Well that was another great Russell production, even with the rain. At least it was great for those of us who finished the ride....
