    Shad vs. Givi Top Box

Doc, I put a SH45 on my '05. The blue insert pretty much exactly matches the Galaxy Blue, though it's not quite as deep and entrancing. Seriously, it almost looks like the folks at Shad decided to paint that insert the exact color of the '05 FJR. I'd guess that the insert for the SH50 will be...

    Ride - Sunday April 15th

You really want me to answer that? :P Unfortunately, I'm not going to make this ride. I got this stupid annual celibration of my wedding day. The wife's probably going to drain me of all my, umm, energy. On the bright side, we plan on going to Northeast (staying at Elk Neck) for an...

    Timonium, MD Motorcycle show

This show has been hit or miss for me. The most recent one I went to - 2010, I think - wasn't great, but okay. The year before that was outstanding. YMMV.

    Shad brand topcases!

My SHAD sits atop the SHAD mounting plate which is bolted on to the Givi rack. Works like a charm. Previously, I had the SHAD mounted to an after market rack that put weight on the back of the sub frame (refer to wfooshee's drawring) and experienced a subframe failure that had to be repaired...

Givi E46 rear trunk - Like or Dislike?

GR, I have a SHAD SH45 color-keyed to my beautiful '05. It's mounted on a Givi rack by way of the SHAD mounting plate that was included with the case. That S.O.B. isn't going anywhere without the bike, and no subframe breaky. Speeds no problem, bumpy dirt/stone roads no problem. Looks better...

    A Friday Ride Gone Bad

Glad you're okay. Do you have need of a garage, or is it too late for that? I'm kinda far away, but you and your FJR are welcome. Perhaps someone closer can offer up?

    cold weather

Wow, 105F is pretty ipmressive. I get cranky at about 90F. (Okay, I'm already cranky in general, but I tend to express my crankiness more at about 90F. Shut up, Pete!) But for lows, I've seen mid 20's without any serious problems. Not sure how low I'd go.

Tyler? I got one word for ya....

OM, that's just typical female posturing. Don't believe it for a second. Go on, OM. Poke the bear some more.... ;)

    The ***** Mom?

There were a number of ways in which she could have responded. However, I disagree that she is too gender sensitive. Perhaps most of the people she's dealing with aren't gender sensitive enough. I mean, think about this line from the piece: "Ladies, this is not a situation of the men holding...

We're friends right? (International Nutters Day)

I cried a single tear when I red that message. Of course, it wasn't the message that got me, though - I had a curly caught in my zipper.
