Got the harbor freight and the mojolever and stuff. The mojo man was very good to deal with. Promp replys and quick shipping. Unless you do more than a set or two a year you don't nead nothing else.
Yap, I know what you mean. Anytime its good weather I can't hardly stand not riding. We have had some good weather down here since the harrycanes passed. Almost like SoCal..
I think you might be as old as me. I remember the triple two stroke very well. A good friend had the 750. They were the fastest strait runner there was.
Bought a Honda 450 twin in 1972. That was one great bike then. A friend and I each bought one the same rainy day in November and went out the dealership for the first time on something bigger than an Alstate scooter. We learned to travel on a bike that day up in the country away from town...
Any increase in load on a generating system running at full speed should make it run hotter but I have no idea if it would hurt the stator. I know that any electric motor when overloaded will overheat but that is overloaded not just a full speed. But I ain't sure of much.
I went on a group ride through east Texas a couple weeks ago and never went faster than 70. Mostly around 65. I got a good 48 mpg. At 9000 miles my 08 seems very smooth shifting. At slow speed through town I hear the clunk but the shifting itself is smooth. Glad to see Southern Cruz got the...
Stock was fine for me. Ordered the yammie tall and just put it on for the winter. It is well worth the 90 bucks I spent on it. Quieter all the way up than stock. I usually ride with stock all the way down unless it is raining or real cold. I'm 6-2, mostly legs though.
Don't let off the throttle very much when you shift and it will be smoother and almost seemless. Shell rotella 15-40 will work wonder in the shifting. My 08 is silky smooth when I shift correctly. Has been since about 3500 miles.
Your owners manual gives the instructions to adjust the front and rear suspension. There are some threads on this forum also. No it shouldn't be shakey IMO.
My dealer left the fork pinch bolts loose also and all but one fell out. They won't loosen on their own very easily. When tightened down they are in a constant strain similar to a lock washer. No excuse for such.
