Hi Sport If you do cut out a couple of inches - can I have the bits you cut out, 'cause I'd like to raise mine by about the same amount TIA - bull

What's wrong with the FJR Windshield system

Hi Fred For what it's worth - here are a few notes about my windscreen experiences.... At 6' 2" I too sit rather tall in the saddle - so the stock screen on my 06 is good in summer at low to medium, but gets a bit 'slappy' when raised to full height. Skyways's spacers improve the stocker, but...

    Brackets for aux lights

Joe - I'm impressed as hell! Not only are you doing this off the side of your (already busy) desk, but you're taking on a problem that has been voiced by many. I can't see much more than my elbows from my 06 mirrors - which I think is rather a pity because the FJR is such an exceptional bike...

    Special pricing on heated gear

last year (after about 20 years of riding) I finally broke out the wallet and invested in a heated liner for my Darien jacket. I will never, ever ride through another winter without the ol' heated gear. So - good on you GUNMD - help spread the good news.

    Road Salt

I protect my bike from salt with a uniform layer of fine dust, dead bugs and road grime.

    Luggage Rack on Topcase ?

Murph's set up looks very nice - I'd prefer to keep mass up front and centre (see Murph's big tank bag) than way up high and out back (like on top of the top case). The stuff sacks can also be dry-bags so that they would be completely impervious to water - and at the same time, add that...

    STOP!!!!---Farkel Time!!!

if you remove this part completely, would that be a scrotal-ectomy? did it make the stock seat comfier? seriosly though - Sean, don't worry about the numbers of each cylinder being all different - that's normal. If you don't want to spend any more moolah (on smoothness and 'feel') - don't...

    Brackets for aux lights

I too have thought about how useful such a farkle would be. If it helps encourage a member to design and fab a few sets, I'd be willing to buy a pair.

    Gen II Footguards

Dang Axeman! - those are very nice indeed. Riding year round in BC, Canada, I think these are a very attractive (and high functional value) farkle. Can you still access the oil filter on the LHS for quick and easy oil changes? TIA - David

    front end banging noise (brakes)

I don't know about the tinkling noise - but I'm curious as to how many miles you've put on your bike? My 2006 suffered from particularly noisy gear shifts when new - until about 5000km's - then she began to shift way more smoothly. I also read a thread on here about slightly pre-loading the...

    front end banging noise (brakes)

the only way I could fuigure out a solution was to wear ear plugs and sing sofly to myself whilst riding over the bumps that caused the rattle. I think it's just the brakes jiggling - but it sure is annoying on an otherwise excellent ride. (mini rant over)

    Turn signal cancellation

Carry on... (btw... I can't believe this thread is still alive.) ..... alive for at least another little while. I put on a Kisan Turn Signal unit on my last bike - and found myself checking the dash mounted blinkers even more than I used to prior to the install - bacause I became a little...
