New York State Park Fees Increased

Just a heads up to those of you looking to use any of the NYS parks this summer. Beginning last Saturday they increased fees by about 33% to try and make up a 4 million dollar deficit that they have. Many access fees just to get into a parking lot have risen $3.00. For you golfers, fees at...

New uses for permatex weatherstrip adhesive

Thats exactly what I was thinking Hal! My father did that once with Ben Gay. Mike, that Preperation H packaging is way to similar to the Simichrome....The worst that could happen I guess is that you end up with the shiniest, itchiest moon on the block.

New uses for permatex weatherstrip adhesive

Don't try this at home..... I decided to drag the Suzuki Intruder out of the garage and sparkle it up the other day in preperation for sale. While chatting with my tenant I squeezed a big gob of what I thought was Simichrome polish onto a rag and was just about to start polishing the wheels...

    Escort Detector purchasing

I just got an advertisement in the mail from Escort and I just wanted to remind anyone who is looking to purchase that they offer $80.00 off a new unit with the trade in of any radar detector. Might be worth it to dig around your old electronic boneyard for that BEL detector you were so proud...

Pressure built up in the gas tank

You all just reminded me that vent hose is still in my tank bag after falling off on our covered bridges ride. Do I really need to put that thing back on? Maybe thats the reason I have been smelling raw fuel lately.

I don't know whether to laugh or be pissed

Port Jefferson, a village on the north shore of Long Island, NY which is a popular destination for motorcyclists has members of a business improvement district that want to ban all parking on their Main Street for various reasons one of them being to eliminate: "The unsightly presence of...

    1987 Suzuki Intruder Dilemma

One thing I was seriously considering doing was having a fundraiser for my foundation Jordan's Initiative. I would hoist the bike up by its front wheel like a giant pinata and charge people $5.00 a whack with a sledgehammer. On a nice day with the amount of Harley Riders around here I could...

    1987 Suzuki Intruder Dilemma

It is actually "fun" to ride in a strange, sick, twisted, kind of way. It has drag bars so it steers like a truck, has the acceleration of a Gremlin, the cornering ability of a Corvair, and the incredible *** appeal of a Harley. It reminds me of why I love the FJR and VFR so much.

    1987 Suzuki Intruder Dilemma

One of the bikes in the garage is a 1987 Suzuki 1400 Intruder with about 14K miles on it. Looks like this.... Overall, the bike is in cosmetically great shape. On a scale of 1-10 I would say probably a 7 or 8. The bike hasn't been ridden in probably 5 years and I had the carb rebuilt right...
