    Right side exhaust wanted

Hi Mike. I've been around and keeping busy. Haven't been able to hook up with the FJR rides so I've been riding with a Bay Area group. Gotta get off my butt and get ready for WFO. I wish there was another great ride like the volcano ride you put together. BTW- I ordered those Holeshots to trade...

What Else Can I Do To My FJR?

Bummer on your crash. Also glad to hear you are relatively uninjured. Mark the crash date on your calendar.... March 19 last year ... Crashed my FJR ($7K damage). March 19 this year ..... $10K damage to my pickup truck (got rear ended) :dribble: March 19 next .... staying...

    New zumo help

I took a look at mine and see no diodes. Could you be mistaking the wire connections for a diodes? It's highly unlikely to see a in line on a wire harness. Polarity protection would usually be built into a unit and spike protection would be parallel. Slice open the shrink tubing to be sure they...

Nevada Tourism markets to LD riders?

Yeah! Try to convince the Nevada trooper who pulls you over that the ad was refers to your FJR throttle.

Newbie to GPS, Zumo 550 on the way

Your 550 came with a car mount. I suggest you use in your car to get used to it. It's pretty fun to use and safer in cage. I know I would have been really distracted doing an intro on my bike. BTW .... Haven't mounted it on the bike yet, so I'll be watching this thread also. B)

    Valve Stem Replacement

Based on Warchilds comment I decided to be extra careful. I used the alternate method list in the instructions and removed the grommet from the valve stem and put it in the wheel first. Then threaded the valve stem into the wheel. I feel pretty confident it has a good seal.

    Valve Stem Replacement

Thanks. That's what I couldn't find. :dribble: Hmmmm? :assassin: Didn't want to hear that one. Thanks for the warning Warchild.

    Valve Stem Replacement

I just busted my first tire ever using my new Harbor Freight tire machine and various goodies from Nomar and others. I'm going to put on a set of 90 degree valve stems from BikeEffects. I know I can butcher out the old valve and my new ones screw together, but I got curious :dribble: about...

    Tick Repair

Hey neighbor. Where did you take your bike for the ticker fix? And were you happy with their work? I'm starting to think mine may be a ticker  I'm still looking for that shop to love

    90° tire valve stems

Bad day SkooterG? So right you are. I've never had anything made since 1980 fail on me. My bad for asking. <_<

    90° tire valve stems

Has anyone had a problem with the nut backing off in the tire? That would be a major setback on a ride. I think about these every time I check my tire pressure and lose air in the process. (Pressure would have been OK if I hadn't check it  ) It's not me that wants to know, I'm asking...

    Michelin Pilot Road 2

My Avon AV45 has worn much like this also (6K miles). It looks a bit squidly if ask me. <_< Kind of like I never ride straight up or use the brakes. It also feels like the bike wants to fall into slower turns. Can't say that I like triangular tires, but I'll probably replace this set...

    Death Valley Ride

It looks like you guys had a first rate trip. I may have spotted a few of you at Scotty's Castle Sunday morning. If you left the valley that day you done good. I was riding with a Bay Area group. We left at 6:00 am Monday (in light rain). Here is picture of me riding my FJR through one of the...

    front wheel

Odot, I have one off my '05 ABS. The insurance adjuster said to replace it, but I (and the Yamaha dealer) believe it is not damaged. Tiny nick on rim edge. I may also have the fairing you are looking for (with minor scratch), but I haven't decided whether I want to part with that yet. I don't...

    Wheelie School

No front end shake on landing. Other than their safety add-on, the bikes are supposed to be stock. You get a whole spiel on how well the bikes hold up, but the instructor says they use Triumphs because they got them free. No one in the class managed a shift, but if you progress that far, they...

    Wheelie School

Following a bad morning at work last Thursday, I did a last minute sign-up for a Friday wheelie class through On One Wheel. It was held at nearby airport and was pretty much a whole day affair. It included liquids, snacks, and lunch. Each student was supposed to get between 100 to 120 passes on...
