    Tank Slapper WTF?

On the helmut issue, I have had my HJC modular helmet fail to close and lock after a brief stop at a filling station. Problem was that on this 110 degree day, I froze the sweat in my helmet too long in the ice box at the convinience mart before re-donning it. Not sure(?), if I was within...

Borrego Springs Run march 30th 2013

"if?" all the stars are lined up in the celestial heavens, and my bike starts in the mroning, I will be on some of the same roads this coming Saturday, April 6. Thanks for the video Richard and for the pre-ride case of vertigo.

Yamaha bikes are far more reliable than HD or BMW

Aye say "Ride the G-darned thing". So much of this talk is based on speculation of owners of garage queens sitting for months at a time un-ridden. Me likes Rice Burners, BECAUSE of their low cost, low and ease of maintaniance, and proven long mileage. "This" has been my personal experience...

    Retirement

As far as I'm concerned, I feel as if I've been prepared for retirement even before I started my life's career at work. I have worked for 37 years for the same agency, retired 2 years ago, and can't tell you hjow delighted I was to join the ranks of my parents. My parents retired when I was very...

    The road to Rubha Reidh

I guessing that a bit further south, the coast line in Cornwall is somehwat similar to the earlier footage in the video above (I've never been west of the Lakes district)? In the USA, I am a fan of public TV's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doc_Martin (starring Martin Clunes) and the sleepy...

Mellow Yellow - and Buddha to boot! :)

This is one of the framed credentials I keep on the wall in my office. It not only features a photo of the Capitola Pier but also framed is one of our club jacket patches, and trunk patches. I was in high school back then (1964-1967). It was a time of well(?)... it was different then than now.

Where to buy a soda in LA

Wow, I smell smoke on this page, I DID miss the Big Beer Page. These caught my eye; Schloss Eggenberg Samichlaus Doppelbock Brauerei Schloss Eggenberg Vorchdorf Austria 14.0% Schloss Eggenberg Samichlaus...

Where to buy a soda in LA

Fred - This place you mentioned in Rochester NY has a real nice index for imports. There are a few 12% ales and stouts as well as occasional 13% seasonals. Wasn't aware that imports could be sold here in the US without some adjustment in the alcohol contents?

Where to buy a soda in LA

www.galcos.com Saw a Huell Howser special on public TV last night featuring this place. Next time I'm in Highland Park I'm going to make a point of stopping in. Ever had a cucumber or celery soda before? The sasparillas, flavored waters and over 600 microbrews make this a place of one-time...

    Riding to Frisco

Haven't been able to be on a bike for a couple of months due to recovery from neck surgery. Am planning to visit my daughter who lives in the Haight/Ashbury and attend this; https://www.publicglass.org/ This lady's glass owls are outstanding!

    That Nothing Was Really Something!

Excellent report. I Love to ride to fish. I'll make a mark on my bucket list to ride to Louisiana on my bike to fish one day. Great that you actually ate the catch. Have pole, will travel.

This rider misses so much it's a shame.

Me thinks(?), the guy might need a serious dose of MC sunshine. Caviat; I was introduced by the (Concours Owner's Group) COG safety inspector some year's ago, about the necessity for striping the under belly pan of my bike with reflective tape. This was to possibly(?) avoid being run over by...
