    TriggerT Wins the Minn 1,000

Results have been posted. https://www.teamstrange.com/2011/mn1k/results.htm Congrats Tim. What an amazing ride you had. Some may not know this was Tim's FIRST 24 hour rally. Not many can claim winning their first. It was great fun trying to keep up with you for the first half of the rally...

    Perfect. Thanks!

    Rifle Touring Shield Height

I recently purchased a Rifle touring shield to replace a damaged one. The new one seems to be about 2 inches shorter. Wondering if someone with a Gen I touring shield could measure their shield from top to bottom, down the center. Mine is 21 inches.

    Great Lakes Ride (s)

Your right your not there and have no idea of his capablities nor his condition. Please try not to be so judgemental. Someone with less experience than you may think riding 1000 miles in 24 hours is stupid. :)

    Great Lakes Ride (s)

Based on his start time I expected to see him in Duluth around 11:00pm. Imagine my surprise when I checked his SPOT and he was 60 miles north of Duluth at 6:30pm. I quickly jumped in the truck and was able to catch him at the gas station. It was 57 degrees at 07:25pm as he pulled into the...

    Great Lakes Ride (s)

Actually his average speed through Canada was fairly low, less than 55mph overall. He mentioned the 24 hour station in North Bay wouldn't take a US credit card. Said he got directions from a taxi driver to a manned gas station a few blocks away.

I suggest you cut back on the Tequila shots at your bar stops. Good luck on the GLG!

    Great Lakes Ride (s)

He did backtrack to Toledo yesterday. Maybe that threw off his schedule. Wonder if he forgot his wallet at a gas stop or something? It took him almost 2 hours to ride 40 miles through Toronto traffic! That's an average speed of 20 mph. Brutal with the clock ticking.

    Great Lakes Ride (s)

Well he's having some issues but is in good spirits. His shoulder and hip were giving him some pain after fighting through a storm that had him down to 5 mph in some severe wind. But his sense of humor is still firmly in place, allowing him to enjoy the ride despite all the mishaps he's...

    Great Lakes Ride (s)

Not quite done but... The man is not taking the easy path that's for damn sure. 1. No aux fuel 2. No aux lights 3. No GPS (well he has one but it's not working) 4. No faceshield (lost on the LS1000). 5. No hotels. (and I hear the lady running the rest area he's been using keeps running him...

    101stpathfinder needs assistance

He's about halfway done with his Great Lakes 10/10th ride and has lost the face shield to his Shark Evoline Series 2 helmet. The helmet is a size small if that matters. He is heading back to Sault Ste. Marie now to complete his LS1000 and then down to Toledo to setup the Lower Great Lakes SS...

    2011 Hooterville 400

Yep that was a long time ago. I bet we both have a few more grey hair's since then. Well at least you do from the pics I've seen. I plan on being in St. Louis around that time. Need to see if I can change my plans enough to make the ride. Hopefully it will all work out.

    Great Lakes Circle ride

Duuuude! I was sweating you weren't going to make it in Gold time after seeing your average drop through Canada. You had us on the edge of our keyboards. Way to step it up on the final stretch through Wisconsin! ...no time to rest for the weary. Big Congrats! I must have missed you by 2...

2011 IBR - The Inside View

On the flip side. How does this affect the riders that dropped down to collect Colorado on the first leg? I doubt they would have made that routing choice if they knew they could pickup CO via the four corners on leg 3. Now any advantage that gave them has been erased.

2011 IBR - The Inside View

A few pics from the Jax checkpoint. Most riders at the checkpoint looked surprisingly refreshed. The Triumph gets new rubber. Brant looks ready to ride another 8,000 miles. Doug taking a few minutes to relax and play tourist. The BMW transplant provides free entertainment to the...
