Go Man Go!

How much straight road can one man take? :dribble:

It must be torture!!!!!
Well lets see.... I haven't been on TC #11 .... YET.

I really screwed myself by taking 24 hours off- This motel is NICE.

Now I need to do the GLG and ride to Florida upon finish-Sunday.

Work Monday at 1 pm. Funny vacation eh?

If that's a vacation, I'd hate to see what you do on your days off!

I'd like to ride with you for a spell today? Give me an Idea of whats going on...

Sounds like one of my last Vacations

You must remember that a vacation is to take your mind off work, I'm sure this Vacation has done that, with all the ridding you have done!

Congrats on your accomplishment :yahoo:

Aboot halfway across the TC 11 now.. Moonbeam?

You Canukleheads have some weird names up der.. ;)
I guess you didn't notice we rode through Wahnipitae (pronounced: Wanna-potay).

Now if only I could finger out how to both pronounce, and spell, Owosossosos.

HOLY CRAP-A-RONI! I just checked his Spot Tracker! That boy is flat out hauling ***. Look at the spacing between those dots. He's gotta be running close to 130-140km/h. I checked this morning and he was just North of Timmins and he's now in Thunder Bay. Their are PLANES that don't make it that fast. I'm thinking he forgot about Ontario's '50 over' law. Either that, or he's trying to get away from the cops!

Where is he headed, coming through Wisconsin?

Yep, I noted that speed up der earlier today. I did about 20 over, so I was averaging about 67 mph. He is doing in the 75 mph range, so he is running at least 130 over. And he's been riding over 29 hours right now!! I am still trying to figure out if I can intercept him when he comes around Chicago, but I don't know which route he'll take.

Darren - if you intercept him in Duluth, try to get him to tell you how he is coming round Chicago.

Hum.. just zoomed in on his North Bay stop.

I *SWEAR* I wasn't leading. Looks like he stopped and asked somebody for directions to the closest gas and they sent him south on 11. DOH!

If he had of went North about another 2km on 11 he would've found the two stations right on his way.. unless they were both closed at 4am. That Macewen we stopped at sure looked like a 24hr station. Guess we'll find out when it's over.

I would think since he made extra miles on the 11 he may in fact run through Chitown. He mentioned the other day if he got down there late enough he was thinking of that..

My spottrack is about an hour off .. You'd think technology would be a shade more advanced eh? This would allow a reasonable chance at an intercept..

Actually his average speed through Canada was fairly low, less than 55mph overall.

He mentioned the 24 hour station in North Bay wouldn't take a US credit card. Said he got directions from a taxi driver to a manned gas station a few blocks away.

Based on his start time I expected to see him in Duluth around 11:00pm. Imagine my surprise when I checked his SPOT and he was 60 miles north of Duluth at 6:30pm. I quickly jumped in the truck and was able to catch him at the gas station.

It was 57 degrees at 07:25pm as he pulled into the Holiday station for some gas and a quick sandwich. He's tired but wants to get this ride done. With his electric vest back on I gave him an escort through the Duluth construction and into Wisconsin. His plan is to take 90 through Chicago since it will be early in the morning and traffic shouldn't be a problem. I expect he may stop for a rest break once he gets into some warmer weather away from the lake. He's got 700 miles left and 20 hours to complete the ride, giving him plenty of stop time if needed.

The guy is a fekin LD Machine.. I only wish I could have had a few more days to hang with him. ;)

I wonder what he's going to do to top this adventure?

Plenty have put in the miles Tony has but the heat and multiple boarder crossing have made this one of the hardest attempts ever. Far as I'm concerned (no disrespect mind ya) John Ryan and the likes had better take notice.. A new force to be reckoned with is out here..

Only wish more of the members here would take the time while he's busting his *** to take an hour or two and ride a few miles with him..The guy is a really rare breed. ;)

Ya have to respect the kind of effort he has put into this ride. :good:
