    Time for a new bike?

Very glad you suffered nothing major...bike loss..pending. Being new in the East and driving those curvy on ramps they love seems fun. I cage out east, most times I think this would be cool on my FJR. The merging can get tricky just as you described, and it's traffic all day long. However...

Come one, Come all...Ride & Eat in Ole Nawlins'

Don't Forum visit too much since the new job, traveling and living in the East. Was at home this weekend and a group of the usual couples rode to the International Rice Festival in Crowley, LA...not quite to your spot. Did think about you, hope all is well.

    2013 FJR - Product announced!

Watching for the release and 2 days off the site and 15ppgs here I find it's market release. Looks jazzy, with some fresh swagg and a definite regrip back into the market leader it's always been. I am sure most can't wait till the comoparo's come and then someone on the forum starts posting...

    Heated Gear

I did a lot of searching on this and on my 1600mile journey from Texas to Cali during a cold blast where temps got into the teens. Tourmaster vest...with heat trotter worked great. I also wore for the bottom some ski pants as a outer shell. Stops the wind and rain...(picked up at Burlington...

CFO 2012 is in the Books

Looks like a real nice time, makes me wish I had my bike here in DC. Oh well, have to settle for the alternate weekends home and ride it then.

    Found my FJR!

Congrats, been enjoying my 08 for a couple years now. A few set of tires already, really liking the Conti's, working on my second set. I really like the way they stick.

    Washington, DC

Living in the area now for the last 3 months and passing all of this history almost daily, I have been so busy that I have yet to stop and really enjoy the true details of what the city has to offer. I suppose I am saving all of that for when the family comes up and we enjoy it together.

    Rider down

Speedy recovery, and well wishes to your daughter, this sort of thing could be traumatic. A blessing you both came through this, together.

Still getting over the shock. (High Bandwidth)

Nice report, missed it this year. I would go back every year for the roads in South Dakota. Just riding those curves are fantastic, the scenery is priceless. The little town of Sturgis traffic can be a brutal ride. The roads are just made for MC riding.

Would like to make it, may not have the bike in the East by then. So probably caging it.

Moving to the East Coast (job offer) Need info

Leave time still pending, could be in the next 2-3 weeks. So, I will miss the supposedly triple digit heat coming this way. Although, I won't be taking the FJR for a while, at least that's the plan. *** Well, if it's I-10/I-45, then it'll probably be okay. Good thing is I'll be able to plan...

Moving to the East Coast (job offer) Need info

Thanks, I really appreciate the input. Being a newbie to the region, it's important to get as many perspectives as possible. It's all the great US but still. My wife rides also, and she is a teacher..so she is all over the school system in the area. Two sons 13 & 15 will eventually come down...

Greetings, Well opportunity with my same company presented itself for heavy consideration....all but signed on the dotted line. Been here in Texas for the duration, and would like to know what to expect from the Northeast...besides cold weather. Area/Region I would be covering is Maryland...

    Having Vibration Issues

Good thread, I did my first TBS last night with the Motion Pro (yea, yea) Did a quick order, and it was here. Then I read thread about the Morgan piece, well...I have seen folks build their own, and swore by it, but my results were: Synced the Tool first. Initial hook up to the TB's found...

    New Toy in the Garage

Nice ride, congrats. Sat on one in the dealership 2 weeks ago, didn't note the price, but it did have a discount sticker on it. I guess it's an In-betweener or hybrid....touring-crotch rocket. Enjoy and always be safe.
