Oh crap, my web cam was on!

using a CPAP when your camping

+1. Don't mess around trying to get an inverter and extra battery to power a regular AC powered CPAP machine. The Everest machine is specifically intended for use in camping type situations. I have used it on the road, recharging it's lithium ion battery through the FJR's glove box outlet...

    A Couple of Things

Damn beasts. Think they own the road. Especially them Kalifernia ones.

on hwy 129 above the Dragon...

My strategy for my next pull over is a stiff poke in the eyes with my own fingers to bring forth the requisite tears and red eyes. I have it on good authority that (male) cops just want to get the hell away from blubbering men.

    Side case surgery

Same thing happened to one of my cases. Got it replaced under YES. But I would like to see someone crack one of these cases open and post up pics of it's guts. Might be a first on this board.

    Beartooth 2010 - 4 Days of fun!

Those are just some excellent shots. I have ridden the Beartooth maybe 4 times. Your pics really captured what it's like to be up there. I plan to be there again with my son riding his Honda in about 3 weeks. We will have point and shoot, but we should get some good shots. I mean, how can...

using a CPAP when your camping

Continuous Positive Air Pressure. It is used to treat sleep apnea. I have severe sleep apnea so I need my CPAP to get a decent nights sleep when on the road. I also like to camp. The answer turned out to be this unit. Clicky. I put the lithium ion battery in the bottom of my tankbag and...

My wife's contemplating becoming a rider!

My wife is a little different than most. She was riding her own Harley when I first met her. Three or four years ago, she came home one day and said, well I think I am going to ride down to Daytona Bike Week. You wanna go with me? We live in Portland Oregon. We went.

    Do-ti-do-ti-do-ti-do.... !BUMP!

It was on purpose. Old people think they own the road. On the other hand, when lane splitting, isn't getting some contact part of the normal risk you assume?

    Oregon City- GP Suspension

I hung around the shop, asked questions, watched the magic CNC machines do their thing, let them take me to lunch, read old copies of Road Racing magazine. There is not really much interesting to do within walking distance, I don't think.

New noise law in Maine 7-12-10

This should scare the bejesus out of the HD aftermarket pipe manufacturers. The backlash against loud pipes has started. If it works in Maine, look for other states to follow. Wonder if Vance and Hnes will supply a better silencer for the Pro Pipe on my 94 Road King?

Thanks for that link. I am frequently called upon to clean up friends and relatives computers, and that site will certainly be helpful.

GenI seat gave me bruises, anyone else?

Don't screw around with airhawks, sheepskins, or other home made bandaids. Bite the bullet and get the Russell, if you intend to keep the bike for awhile. I admit to bias, I own two of them, one on my old HD, one on my GenII. They have been in business for a long time and have thousands of...

Talimena Scenic Byway in Oklahoma is worth a shot after you ride the Ozarks.

Beamer Reamer and Mrs. hit a forest rat

What she said above. Hope maybe we get to ride together again down in Maupin someday. I got a couple of deer that walk through my yard almost everyday. I wonder if I should make them "disappear", in the interest of road safety, and maybe paybacks? Say the word! :evilsmiley03: :evilsmiley03:

    Motels

I have heard that you should always call for a room, even if you are standing right outside the lobby. Better pricing than walking in.

Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make angry...

I have always thought that if you rear-end another vehicle, no matter what the circumstances, you are legally at fault. Is this true?
