I am getting a serious case of wanderlust. Thanks for taking us along!!

    Allstates Repulsive Ad Campaign

I've been riding since '65, and from my experience the "code" you mention is, indeed, your code. It is certainly not "the" code. In my racing days we all avoided talking directly about risk, but we sure talked about every crash to better understand the cause and to learn what we could do...

    Steering Bearings

In my experience (as a motorcycle mechanic back in the day), nothing will take steering head bearings out faster than riding with the bearings improperly tightened. If you have a lot of miles running with the stem loose, it may need bearings. As a normal wear and tear item, they won't expire...

Took 45 years but they finally let me in - the Crash Club

That's scary! Glad nothing is broken on you. The bike will buff out no doubt. People who lie like the driver did really get my blood boiling. Didn't see you? What the heck was she looking at that she didn't see you stopped at the light. And then later denying it to everyone. ARRG...

    2nd gear shift issues

I'll +1 the need for a firm shift. If the shift is not made with authority it kicks back out and there is all sorts of crunching and grinding. Put that rascal in 2nd like you mean it!

    Summer riding Pants

+1 on the Cycleport. They offer the kevlar mesh overpants, but they also have kevlar jeans. Several options from them are available and the protection is excellent.

    Loaning your bike.......

I wouldn't loan out my bike to anyone. First, it is too personal of an item. Wouldn't loan out my helmet either. I would loan out my car, but not my bike. Second, I wouldn't loan out my bike as a favor to my friend. Someone who hasn't ridden a pig like this faces increased odds of crashing...

    Decisions, Decisions

That's what my girlfriend keeps telling me too!

    RIder keeps dropping their bike.

Has this person ridden a bicycle before? It would be cheaper to practice with pedal power for a while instead of continually trashing his or her mc.

    Handlsing with topcase attached

An interesting item to add when discussing the buffeting is what windscreen you are using. Does it make a difference? For example, the Rifle screens allow a lot more air to pass under the screen, which decreases the back pressure you feel with a stock screen. I wonder if this smooths out the...

    Irish Hills, MI

I enjoyed the ride Useless! The helmet cam is an interesting perspective. I'm a born and raised Michigander (Marshall, just east of Battle Creek) and the sky in your video was very familiar. Felt like being back in my early riding days.

    Battle Born ShakeDown ~~~RIDE REPORT~~

:clapping: Great report! I love the spirit of those you met along the way. Of course, yours to RJ. What a great reminder that it is the journey, not the destination, that makes an adventure. I hope I would have the same good sense you had to turn around twice to meet people that made your...

    Best Hot weather riding gear

Motoport for me too. Yes, it is expensive, but it is not a yearly expense. It is something you can wear for years so you really need to consider that. (And it will stay together a lot longer than that Joe Rocket Phoenix!) Don't know about you, but if it saves me from road rash once, it will...

    DerbyCycles.NET

The exact same situation arose about two months ago when guys ordering from the .net site got a killer deal, and those of those that ordered off .com were charged a higher price and shipping. The original post pointing out the great price didn't specify the .net site, and it was only after some...
