    Sunday ride to Daytona-Anyone?

Figured this is as good a place to post this: Performance award on the way back to TX... Happened in FL - 85 in a 70 = $180. Gulp! 1st ticket since 1990.

    Sunday ride to Daytona-Anyone?

Hey Wade, You guys gonna escort me in on Friday? I could run through that stretch instead of the usual drive down 75. Prolly work would be an issue. Anyway, the phone will be hooked up during cruising and sure wouldn't mind being woke up.

    Sunday ride to Daytona-Anyone?

This might be the time to insert this little tid-bit of information: I'll be arriving in Lake Mary on Friday evening, the 7th, traveling from TX to see my sweetie. We are possibly up for a cruise on that following Sunday, which would be the Sept. 9th. Then, leaving Tuesday (9/11  )...

    oil filters

Clicky I used this list last month and found the Mobil 1 filter at the local parts house. Complimented it w/ Lucas semi-synthetic mc oil.

Bumpage. Kudos to Pat (pending) on the forum for sending the mp3 of Lee Michael's version of Stormy Monday w/ B3, bass and drums. A keeper. If you guys/gals hear something down the road that will make you think of this thread, just shoot me a PM or email. Thanks, Dan

Happy Birthday there Andrew. Hope you're having a great day!

    New music project beginning

Roll with the changes :good: I should have put a disclaimer on the front end because, as I'm also a fan of Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson and Dave Brubeck, it would take more time than I have to recreate entailed solos as those. I did played Brubeck's "Take Five" (5/4) and "Blue Rhondo a la...

    Yamaha YES Pricing

wpbfjr, I just saw your logo referencing my post on the YES warranty. WELL, I guess I should update what Yamaha ended up telling me, just didn't want to give up the fight w/ them. Yamaha will not allow FL residents to go outside the state to purchase the YES warranty even though the citizens...

I'll trade the guitar ride for a muted trumpet off the Motif. I know ... ;)

    New music project beginning

Ridin' the Storm Out - great song - piano is chording through the song but no keyboard solo (that one's a no-go). Against the Wind does have some good keys in it and everyone knows it so that's a good addition. Will give "Turn the Page" a listen. Thanks WJ.

Subdivisions has been added as the song kicks butt (definitely remember it). Keyboards are good and easy enough to chart, song has a ton of time changes from 4/4 to 7/4 and very entailed drum parts. I've know of one local friend that could knock the drum parts out. Another challenge for sure...

Thanks Badcat. That's a keeper. I went through the Rush songs and figured it has to be "Tom Sawyer".

    New music project beginning

I was talking to a friend on the phone today and he mentioned that he heard this song by Rush that had heavy keyboards and thought of my project (didn't get the name of it). I told him that I wanted to find something from Boston. So, thanks for the heads up on that one. He's going to try and...

    New music project beginning

It's been a while since my last post and doing OK and FWIW, as the FJR was my first bike, just went passed 16k. Not bad for one year's driving. I am posting this for anyone's input for songs to learn. This project is for doing happy hour gigs as a single on Fri. and Sat. evenings and some...

    Avon Storms get my Vote

Me too. Love em and don't think I'll try another tire. These did the trick. Hope they come close to the mileage I got on the stock Bridgestones. They excel the most in the rain.
