They took my wheels away :(

(about 3 yrs. ago) When approaching the front entry of a jobsite in the rain, had to duck under 2 - 2x4's that were horizontal across the porch. Then when I stood up, didn't see the third one and it buckeled me down to the ground almost blacking out. After the mri, turned out I had several...

    My new toy.

Sure curious to hear what one sounds like although I'm a little guitar challenged. Congrats there Odot. May as well get that first scratch out of the way just don't let it get scratched like your FJR. Fixn to break out the Hammond in a few days. It's been sitting in the case in the...

Yamaha "Confort Seats" & Shad 48 Topcase reviews

Glad to see you made it back almost safe and sound. Man, we just missed each other. Flew out of FL this AM. Great seat report and am now confused as to what to get. I should be back to FL for another visit in Sept. - hopefully, but will need a new seat for the trip.

Almost flipped a Mazda Miata today.

So here you are driving up to a red light in the left lane, a driver is ahead in the right lane stopped waiting on the light to turn green with his window rolled down taking a sip of some hot coffee as you slowly pull up next to him... do you blast the horn or not? I couldn't do it. But it was...

Yamaha "Confort Seats" & Shad 48 Topcase reviews

Good report on the seats. So they're definately worth the denaro? Sorry to hear about the case. I've had mine for quite some time and never had a latch failure. Bet you inadvertantly unlatched it. I tend to double check the cases at all the rest stops. I even find myself looking in the...

    riding gear

Jim, Just purchased the Airglide 2 Mesh Tech jacket and pants from Olympia. That's their main page. I am 6'1" @ 210#s and can attest that the large jacket size would fit you to a T. It is a little short on me and if I was your height it would fit perfect. Large tall is my size but not many...

Are you considering a product like Smart Tire

You'll need to see where I located it on my 06AE but unfortunately won't be back in TX until the 11th. When back, I'll post a picture of the location. There was nothing to it. Took the hot lead to the switched side of the fuse for the accessory outlet in the glovebox (next to the battery)...

Are you considering a product like Smart Tire

Had the dealer install the Smart Tire at the 1st tire change (no charge) and then left the Smart Tire manual at the shop. So after pushing a few buttons in the wrong order, came up with the unit displaying the tire pressures of both tires back and forth repeatedly. After reading the manual and...

    FJR Focus Group

FWIW - When I purchased the fjr last year, looked up the local (FL) autocom dealer which happened to be a BMW dealer. Sales dude that I talked to was really very cool and asked me a lot of questions about my bike. Finding out I had the fjr, he let me know he had just purchased an '05 fjr for...

If you had to move to a ideal place

average humidy: 75% northern part of Arkansas Sure surprised to find out that the average RH of Corpus Christi, TX is 61% and Hot Springs: 75%. Go figure. Living there (CC, TX) on the coast, it's always high humidity. One of those figures has to be a mistake. ;)

If you had to move to a ideal place

Got some friends in Hot Springs trying to talk us into moving there. They say it's the best water you can drink and best air you can breathe.

I should have listened to you

If it was a regular allen head, is there really a way someone could take a allen wrench and loosen them to steal your boxes? I took them off, applied locktite and tightened them as tight as possible with needle nose pliers. So far, have not come loose. Oh yeah, and did this after loosing one...
