    "The Silver Bullet"

Was searching for something cool for summer riding and began with remembering a Olympia jacket TWN recommended last year he used for all-year riding. It led me to this one. Link to the jacket and pants from the website. Ordering was very user-friendly but had a minor glitch. I called the...

    FREEKING GRAVEL!!!!

Glad you're both in relatively good shape considering. Please don't give up too quick on fixing the bike. There sure is a lot of support here, as you know, so maybe you will get some help in your area from other fjr riders putting it back together. At the entrance to my subdivision, they cut...

    Dammit All To Hell!!!!

Sorry to hear this. It's just not fair when the good ones are taken out like that. How bout posting the address of the hospital so we could send a card or somethin?

    crash!

slow2lrn - great to hear you're saying you can't wait to get back on and great that you're on the mend. Bruised ribs are awful. Can't imagine 6 broken ones. Take care.

    steep incline start

+1 on the MSF. Practice, Practice, Practice AND CALL ME TO GO RIDE. Been waiting for you to get going on the m/c license. Figured your wife made you sell it. Ride safe!

Blue Flame EVO 3 installation & review

Very nice. I've had my eye on those since getting the bike last year. One of these days... So on with the fun and my first highjack attempt...You proved 1 & 3 but lacking on 2 (Skyway took your photo and posted so ... ). Also, I don't see a speck of dirt, oil, bugs, dust, nothing...

    Tennis/Golf FJR? Elbow pain

Would the left side "Throttle Rocker" work to rest your hand on and would you be able to still operate the clutch? The right one is very comfortable and solved the hand tingling/pain issue for me and works as a good cruise device.

    Shad SH48 Topcase

Bob - Man, that looks great on that dark cherry! :clapping: Here's pics of mine in a previous thread. Now have over 14k w/ two trips to FL and it's as stable as it was when new. Couldn't be more satisfied with it. What was cool was getting to the hotel and pulling the luggage cart out to the...

Blue Flame EVO 3 installation & review

Nice try. Being a "FNG", you have to show us YOUR bike w/ new cans which shows us 1) you really have them installed, 2) you know how to post pics and 3) we just want to look in your garage.

    Finally...first ride in 2007

We think we got problems and then hear a story like that. Wow. Tears be flowing after that read. But what a testimony for the fjr. designeraccd - you're the dude! Be careful riding past your limitations.

    First two-up ride

First of last year, my wife says, "Why don't we get a motorcycle?" Huh? Pinch me. Ended up w/ this one on a recommendation from a friend. He said I wouldn't believe the low-end torque it has. Wife loves it and has never complained about riding discomfort due to the fact that she has nothing...

    Possible FJR paint job

Don't see how that skull or mural has anything to do w/ scuba. Do like the red for visibility but don't see how you could get red into a scuba thing unless it was "Elmo" or sompin. Seems like an artist could give you a design to remind us of "Sea Hunt" (Lloyd Bridges).

    Sad News

We'll keep you in our prayers for success through this difficult time. If you get up to the Corpus area, give me a PM and we can hook up for a BBQ sandwich or sompin.

    FJR Auto

14,000 miles in 9 awesome months. I would not know to compare one w/ a clutch as this is my first m/c. It's just too easy to shift and maneuver. I think the pedal shifter has been used twice at the beginning just to see if it worked. After that, it's all been flicking (Turbo Dave's word -...

    Mature Riders and FJR's

    Need input from TX riders

+1 - Robert :good: Met Robert on the phone after talking w/ a local FJR rider who refered me to them. He helped me w/ price negotiations purchasing my bike in FL. He had nothing to gain from it but went way out of his way helping me. Super-nice guy who knows the meaning of customer...

£45,000 piano dropped by delivery guy

"...The piano was insured, but only for the £26,000 which was paid for it at auction in London rather than its likely replacement value of £45,000..." At least she'll get her money back. Bet they subrogate the piano mover. They say Bosendorfer pianos are the best. Check this one out - (of...

Tell em at work that the fjrforum said for you to take the rest of the day off. Nah, that won't work, got any sick days left? Have a great evening and Happy Birthday. Dan

After allowing me to drive out w/ loose bolt, ...

Me too! (and a hectic schedule) So I finally broke out the manual. Looks to me like it's the same as other service but the 16,000 mile has swingarm bearings and steering beerings re-packed, the ********, final gear oil changed, new plugs, rear suspension link pivots lubed. Some of these have...
