    LED auxiliary lights

Very true Pete. I could get a flashlight with AA's to look like a hellfire torch by messing with shutter speeds. The same thing goes for aiming the lights. I pointed both sets at the road so you could see the pattern. They are really close with the 1800 versions being a bit tighter beam and...

That really depends on where you are intrupting the bright circuit. I would come off the origional FJR light relay to the new LED circuit. Odds are your flashing unit comes into play closer to the actual H4 lamp. The relay mentioned is up in the center of the nose. But as long as you send...

    LED auxiliary lights

I wouldn't hesitate to use them during the day, they can't be any more annoying than the Caddilac SUV's driving around. Since they are instant on/off I would wire them up to your bright lights circut for night night time riding, or put on a switch to fill in the spot above the low beam...

    LED auxiliary lights

The headlights are only used in the 2 pictures and are labeled to reflect that the light is from all 6. 2 pair of leds and 1 pair of headlights. In the other 4 pictures you are only viewing the LED's. You can definitely save on shipping and ride over to pick them up!

    LED auxiliary lights

I completely understand where you are coming from. However, I wouldn't of purchased them if there wasn't any info to fall back on. I've been following a thread on advrider with 1208 posts and 170,125 views of riders that love them. The member there happens to be offering them for...

    LED auxiliary lights

I took pictures of a country road and in front of my garage so you could see the light patterns and effective range. Bear with me guys, there are quite a few photo's. First off the country road with 1 pair of 1800Lm LED's mount up high: Now for the 1500Lm mounted on the forks HID low...

    FJR1300 Wallpaper image

Very nice! You should contact Yamaha and have them put this material on their FJR page. Sure beats their other wallpapers.

    LED auxiliary lights

Very true. My HID's take a while to warm up and are completely unusable in areas of traffic. I like the idea that you can install a dimmer on these. I'm working on finding the best option.

    LED auxiliary lights

    The FF50's are H3 incadecent lights that pull 110W for the pair or around 8-8.5A. A pair of 1800's = 3.6A 1500's = 3.0A 550's = 2A So 2-1800's and 2-550's will be 5.6A or around 74 watts.

    LED auxiliary lights

Yes, that is my FJR. After looking the invoice from Future Vision it appears that my HID lows conversion is 4300K. They are exactly the same temperature as the 550 and 1500. The 1800 (mounted above the mirrors) are only 1 shade up the scale from 4300k at the most. I am revising my estimates...

    LED auxiliary lights

Yes, there is another site with the same unit advertising them as 2000Lm (and $41.50 extra  ), but I would rather be on the conservative side than to be too optimistic. Your comments bring up another observation. The 4" HID's that I had mounted before these gave off a bluish light...

    LED auxiliary lights

I will take some pictures this afternoon and post them up. And you can install a dimmer with LED's to dial down the brightness for use during the day. I'm working on finding the best source for some dimmers. For now I'm using the HID low conversions for my main lights and utilizing the...

Russell Day Long Group Buy - Fall 2010

I completely agree. I purchased 3 other brands of "custom" seats before finally getting the Russell. I hope my wife likes it as much as I do :)

    LED auxiliary lights

I recently replaced my 4" HID lights with some LED lights. I've been torn between function, price, looks, and current draw from various light options since my first FJR back in 2003. I think I've finally found a solution that satisfies those wants/needs. These little suckers pull between 1A...

    Farkle time

Frist, mark the area that you want cut off with painters tape. Then use a dremel with a cutoff wheel to grind along the line. Make sure to move around and not build up too much heat. Then file down the edges and sand smooth. Carefull with that file, if you slip, you will me sanding and...

That is truely amazing! I can't believe that the dog used his front paws to pull the other to safety.
