@chaz what do you consider"high mileage" on an fjr? As for the ES forks, bushings are not user replaceable and appears to require replacement of the forks to change. That's the bad news. Good news is that I'm not aware of anyone who has needed the bushings replaced - I have 58k on mine and know...

Hooked up to a batter tender then I washed my helmet liner.

The ES fork fluid change really is a 2- person job and is not needed until at least 40k miles. Did mine at about 50k and the fluid was not in bad shape but changing it seemed to refresh the feel of the front suspension. Also note there is a special tool required to remove the inner piston on...
