    HELP...help wheaton get bike started

I'm waiting for the spark plug test. Fuses? If you can't find it by going through SlapnPop's list, you've mistaken your FJR for a microwave. :)

    audiovox cruise

Hey Roy; I meant the standoff that holds the cable housing, but I'm all straight on that. This question of disconnecting the return side of the throttle is perfect for eliminating the fighting against the cruise. I don't see a problem with it, like I said, there are several springs down there...

    fuel pump leaking

That's true. If you've had your tank up, you may have folded a line when you put it back. Check that ASAP.

Winter is around the corner. Where do you buy your cold weather gear?

It depends on just how cold it gets where you are, but getting a set of the V-Strom Handguards goes a long way in keeping your hands warm. Your legs should be fine with just insulated pants (no heat). A heated vest is a must if you're riding in real cold weather and if you do get any heated...

Have you had a valve stem failure?

I think the problem is more from checking and filling the tires rather than the slight flexing from centrifugal force. Having a 90° valve stem would mean that you couldn't press too hard without supporting it from the other side or you could weaken it.

    Is Lojack worth it?

I like anything that could help find who stole your bike. It's the speed of the response that matters. If they find that box before the police find them, they win. I worry more about coming out to find my bike on it's side.

    audiovox cruise

That is one clean install! And the cleanest bike I've ever seen, period. (oh, I just read, it's brand new!) I've wondered about the interference you can cause by holding the throttle. I see that disconnecting the return would solve that. There are plenty of springs to bring the throttle back...

    Under seat stowage

It's the small silver and black one that was associated with the recent rebate someone here posted. You bought it for $30, and got a $20 rebate check. Not bad. I'm sure it's the one you're seeing everywhere. I've tried it and it works. Takes a while if you're filling a flat but it works.

In what category dose the FJR fit into?

The FJR is a Sport Touring motorcycle. I guess you could add super to it, but that wouldn't quite fit. It's got a powerful engine, aerodynamic styling, and a very high top speed but it's not a race platform modified for street use like, say, a Ducati Desmo. My insurance company doesn't show me...

    Under seat stowage

Hey Brody; I do the same thing. All tools under the seat. The Slime® tire pump is the key. I also use the ziplock bag but I keep a terry cloth soaked and rung out with soapy water. I also keep some electrical tape and side-cuts in case I need to do any wiring fixes.
