I wish I had been needing sleep while in your neighborhood. As it was, I slept in a parking lot, in a car wash, and in a MCD's. The biggest thing I learned from this rally is that in the future I need to spend AT LEAST every other night in a hotel. Results...

I am sitting in a MCD's for my last rest bonus. Every hotel room n town is full or a baseball tournament. Figures. Now way I can go any further. Another 1100+ miles today, and i haven't had more than 30 minutes of sleep since...I think it was Tuesday night going in to Wednesday morning. Seems...

I am not planning on taking the time to post anything during the rally. Heck, I am not planning on doing much of anything other than riding, eating, and sleeping when necessary.

We made the ride down here to Statesville NC, yesterday without any major issues. Derek, that crazy fooker, did over 1500 miles straight on the ride down here. What a way to get ready for a rally. The good news is that the temps are supposed to only get in to the upper 80's for the next week...

I leave for the BitE this coming Saturday at O'Dark Thirty. I am more than a little apprehensive about my first multi day rally, and riding more miles than I ever have, but also looking forward to it.
