Congrats, love that red 14. Welcome to the FJR club. Just can't imagine that I routinely ride something that will blow away all the bikes I lusted for when I was young. LOL
Having lived in West Palm Beach for 58 years, AND also being Airborne {though I was never in an Airborne unit} I think it's only right that I get to claim 101stpathfinder as my official "homeboy" with all the respect and admiration that brings.
Seems to me that worn clutch plates should make for a shorter clutch throw before they disengage not a longer one. {or maybe I got this all backwards, LOL}
Perhaps the parts in your lever have worn down some so your not getting the throw you used to.
I had this happen to me.
To get more...
Welcome to the forum, Where are you in Florida? I was from WPB, live in SC now. Love the weather up here, lot's of mountains. LOL Don't miss the heat or the hurricanes, miss the ocean some. LOL
Can't seem to get any of the video's to work. These buds will be put into your ear and slightly harden so they won't fall out" And the jack will fit into my Sena headset and work with my Sena 10S?? Hoping that's the way it is, I am sick of the speakers in my Sena headset.
The front ABS sensor failed while the bike was sitting in the shop? Service manager did NOT take the bike out for a test ride???? If he did, then the ABS sensor died between his ride and when you came to get it??? If he didn't????? QUOTE "If you hear the chain rattling before 24,000...
My stock/summer windshield is scratched and crooked, {long story}. If you have one you no longer use I would like to purchase it. I would like to NOT pay more than 40 dollars including shipping. Thanks, Phil
Good suggestions. OR you can ride it a few more times and you will stop hearing the noise. LOL
"What honey? What did you say? No, I was listening, just say it again. I love you>"
I assume you are speaking English, but Mechanics English or Electronics English. LOL
The only thing I have to offer to this discussion is that, as you know, I have an 07 as well and it is always available for you to compare to yours; Heck, I might learn something.
I am not confident enough to give you an offer for the smaller {stock I assume} windshield. BUT, if someone else buys the taller {touring I assume} windshield and you would like to give me a price with shipping to 29360, I would be pleased. Thanks, Phil
By 2008 there were no significant problems left to fix. LOL
{you might spend an hour or two reading about the "spider" ground wire problems that some Gen. 2 bikes experience. It is not a big deal if you do your own work but might be a little expensive if you have the problem and take it to a...
Upon graduation from the Army's Recondo School up in the mountains above Denver, we were treated to a Steak and Beer dinner. I ate a steak and had a couple of beers and THEN the smart-a--ed sergeant challenged us recruits to a drinking contest. To be sure he won, we had to have a couple of...
As an official sissy, I like butter SCOTCH, BOURBON chicken, RYE bread, IRISH music and most CANADIANs, and once in a while a Corona or a Yingling. I even drink my coffee with lots of cream and sugar, and I am VERY intimidated by you guys. LOL
I did the Venture FD gear swap. Since I don't try to go fast in the twisties anymore, and a lot of my miles are on the open road, I love the fact that at 75 my RPMs are below 4000 and my hands get numb less. Just google Final Drive swap, FJR1300 and there are a bunch of posts on there. If your...
