    Vented Summer Riding Pants? Options?

I'm honestly glad they're working for you. And for the record, there was someone else on here that used to sing their praises (tho' he said he had to use separate rain pants). I think that was HaulinAshe, though I'm not real sure about that. They were just all kinds of fail for me, though...

    Vented Summer Riding Pants? Options?

+1. I threw my Fieldsheer Four Season pants in the garbage. No rain fly in the crotch was a major problem. Leg zipper broke during the first rally I wore them in.

    Free Phones GONE

If nobody wants them, try going here: cell phones for soldiers This group collects used cell phones, sells them to a recycler, then uses the money to buy calling cards and other communication tools that are donated to soldiers and their families so they can stay in touch. You can print out a...

    Vstream and Spacers

The spacers actually tilt the Vstream back a little bit, so if the problem is that the shield isn't high enough, I don't think that's the solution.

    V-Stream Windshield

I use both. Works just dandy. Rexford: The Baker wings help guide air over the tank to keep it cool (mostly a gen I issue) and to bring more air into the cockpit to cool the rider. Mine are attached to Garauld's light brackets.

What Bike for a 16 year old

I snagged a beat up '98 Ninja 250 for my son to learn on. I picked it up for under a grand. Good choice because if he dumped it in the parking lot (and he did), it was no big deal. It also fits him well. I also added a rule (based on great advice from rally pal Tony Lewis) that he couldn't ride...

Free Android App that just might save your life!

I downloaded it too and plan to play with it, thought my wife will freak at the false positives. Winter finally show up tonight so it will be awhile before I actually try it on the bike, but I think I'll see what sets it off in other environments. It's a cool idea.

    New seat for the FJR

Not quite. Bill was the dad. Rocky and Rick are the sons. For the record, Rick Mayer also keeps FJR seat pans in stock. Instead of living without a saddle, you send him a deposit check. When you get your saddle, you send yours back and he returns your check. That arrangement worked great for...

    Kid in a Candy Store

I was thinking the same thing. Nice lines on that one. That KTM Adventure was high on my lust list for a long time.

    Let The Buyer Beware

My selling/buying experiences here have also been great. Really bummed, Axe, to hear it went bad. Hope it's resolved easily and quickly.

The Viet-nam moving wall is here

+1 on the must-see. It's a deeply moving memorial, a tremendous work of art. I'll be returning to it next month.

NAFO #3 - Rally in the Rockies!

This is awesome. I would so love to go riding in BC. I hope this is a really full rally. Sadly, I won't make this one. I've already got that time set aside to take younger son on his first moto-tour, heading down the Blue Ridge Parkway. But if you can make it, you should go. That is some...

    Pirelli Angel evaluation

One of the reasons I'm running Angels now is that I knew I would not be taking any long trips or running LD rallies this year. If I was planning a trip over 6K, my choice would be the PR2s (or PR3s, though I haven't tried them yet). I like the Angels, but I've had such consistent big mileage on...

Mary Ann then. Mary Ann always. Although, if I was turning 80 tomorrow, I might ask Ginger to dinner.
